2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (1 Viewer)

I guess they have to do this on Monday in the situation where there is a conflict between NFL stadiums?

It would have been a lot better to do this last night IMO.

I can't get hyped at all for this game except to cheer against Bama.

Plus, America is used to watching football on Monday nights. I gotta think that’s part of it too.

I have to outwardly say UGA because my youngest brother is a student and I’ve got friends who graduated from there, but...  secretly I’m pulling for a meteorite to crash the stadium. Second best option is Bama. I’ve lived in a world with happy Bama fans, I’m not sure I can live in a world with happy Dawgs.

They aren't wrong
I know it's hard to get on a high horse as a Bama fan considering the idiots in our fanbase who have gained infamy, but Georgia has shown itself to be the worst other fanbase I've come across with a limited sample size of like 3-4 incidents.

They're already being obnoxious just getting to the game.  They'll continue to do so even if they lose - I can't imagine what it will be like if they win.

I went to a Georgia game last year (they almost lost to Norris State) and everybody seemed nice and decent. My wife loved Athens. We went to a meat pie place on the main drag after the game and met a lot of great people who just seemed despondent about how the Dawgs never got any better. I'm thinking about how how awesome that place must be tonight.

Anyways, most people online are toolbags (cc: @Fat Drunk and Stupid ) and aren't indicative of real life people.

I was at the UCF/Georgia game where Daunte Culpepper almost (did?) beat them.  My dad coached one of the guys who coached for Georgia who invited him to the game.  So we're walking into the stadium, and I notice a guy point up towards the top of the stadium, laughing.  I look up, as does everyone else, to see some Georgia fan peeing onto the UCF families walking past, who had just starting to realize what is going on.  Appalled, I look around and notice everyone, even the geriatric couple behind me, pointing and laughing like this was normal.  I'm not saying something like this hasn't happened elsewhere, but it was the acceptance of the scene by everyone I could see which made me uneasy.

This one was told to me by an Auburn friend, but he told it to me after that one considering the acceptance part.  He walked into the bathroom at a game in Athens to see some guy run up behind an Auburn fan at the trough, pick him up, and throw him in it.  Upon seeing this, the Georgia fans in the bathroom started barking at the guy.  My friend noped the heck out of there quickly.

Those two stand out.  2008 was a bad trip for a lot of Bama fans too.  You know I don't care about internet tough guys.

I think it's weird that this website doesn't have one single Georgia honk posting here.  Georgia Tech has a couple.  Auburn, 'Bama, LSU, hell we even have a UMASS fan and a Buffalo fan.  But nobody here roots for Georgia?  Find that odd.  Arizona schools I can believe.  But a rabid fan base like Georgia and not one fan here?

I’m a Wyoming guy.

I figured I'd be getting blasted by now.

I'm almost positive Native is a UGA fan

I don’t know any in every day life either. It is strange.

All the UGA fans I know are normally running the trash pickup routes during the day, so I don’t think they could find much free time to post.

Native is a good guy.

Hell, if I wasn’t a heartless ******* I’d be rooting for UGA.  My Dad roots for them, more of my relatives are Dawg fans than Tech and I have many, many good friends that are fans.  I just can’t do it - I hope they are all miserable tomorrow.  And I know 99% of them would feel the same way if it was by some miracle Tech.

So we have found the two that know enough about using a computer to get on the Internet and have working electricity.
The Georgia Tech guys are going to help bring Amazon to Atlanta. So thats cool. Theyre also active in the Soccer thread. Totally useless though when talking about college football.

Another discussion for another time, but Amazon is going to be a disaster. They announce, I get the real estate price bump, sell, and then I’m gone.  The city is way past capacity as is and the infrastructure improvements are too far behind the curve.

Psyched about tonight's game! Counting on it keeping the crowd down at the grocery store tonight.
Honestly don't think it's going to affect much outside of Alabama and Georgia. Just like LSU/Bama was the lowest rated BCS game, this will probably be the worst rated playoff final.

Never underestimate the motivation of people in my city who use any event as an excuse to drink themselves in to a stupor!

That wasn't my impression

Yea, a smattering of boos may have been mixed in but my impression was there was a lot of cheers.  I liked seeing him there, too bad it's probably just to give the finger to the NFL.
He always looks stupid. Like uncomfortable and not know how to "act".  I was a Trump supporter too at first.

That is my last post on the subject at all.sticking to game now
