2017 Streaming Defenses (3 Viewers)

Someone dropped the Lions on their bye so I pounced. I don’t think they will sustain the current level at which they’ve been generating TOs and INTs, but they play opportunistically and have a great secondary so I think they have Top 5 upside.

Paired them with the Bills, and they seem to complement each other.

To get the Lions I dropped NO. Figure the Bills can get to Jameis and maintain a solid if unspectacular floor, and while the Saints are the hot hand and have a good matchup, at least no one can use NO for the weekend.
Did the same, but I'm pairing them with MN defense. I will have nice matchups for the next few weeks. And GB is not as scary now with Hundley at QB...

As an aside, did espn leagues make a change to defense scoring so that points scored by the opponents defense do not count against you? I've got panthers d and it is showing 2 PA.  I don't remember it working this way in the past.  Just preparing myself for a possible correction.

So, are the Ravens D worth holding onto anymore?  They seem to feast on crappy opponents and #### the bed against any competent offenses.  The Ravens O doesn't help matters and there seems to be no reason for optimism for improvement there.  Also, this coming matchup against Miami looks much less attractive than it did before Cutler got injured.  Their schedule also doesn't really feature any of these bottom-feeder offenses that they can feast on... until the playoff games against Cleveland and Indy(although maybe Luck will be back by then).  The playoffs were the main reason I was planning to hold them, but not sure it's worth it when they might be doing nothing until then.

I guess I'm basically just trying to talk myself into dropping them....I think it worked.

They changed that scoring rule this year.

I picked up the Jags D off waivers two weeks ago when I had to drop the Steelers.  It paid off so far.  Now the Jags have their bye and I'm thinking of picking the Steelers back up again.  The problem is that I really don't want to drop the Jags.  I may have to roll with two Ds this week.

KC was a poor choice but mainly because Oakland has ended their preseason finally and started to play.

This week, idk. I'll have to look.

Nope ESPN made that standard now.

I hav JAX def but due to bye I'm gonna pick up a one week starter. Was looking at Philly vs SF. Any thoughts?

I'm officially out on Baltimore gonna drop them for best available
Hope you didn’t keep them based off my lame strategy (take the hit in MIN, keep ‘em for more favorable matchups.) I figured I was safe, favored by like 40 against an 0-6 team I outscored 904-532 the first six weeks. They had Amari Cooper.  :X

Also, this is a stupid hobby.  :kicksrock:

No.  I would've dropped them but there was not a great option.  I'm hoping someone drops a decent one this week.  I'm out on Baltimore no matter what though

Wow, Eagles are only 42.5% owned.  Surprising.

This week is tough.  Cincy at home against Indy seems to stand out, but I feel like I always get burned with the Bengals.

I guess Cincy's schedule is not too bad either going forward.  No one that I would be that scared of, other than maybe PIT (but that will be in CIN).

IND

@JAX

@TEN

@DEN

CLE

PIT

CHI

@MIN

DET

@BAL

thanks.  very pleased.  that was always a pet peeve of mine anyway.
My other leagues score it the old way yet and it sucks.  I lost a game this year because of it already.  Roethlisberger had that terrible game and my Steelers D lost all the points because of his pick sixes.

Picked up Philly for free. For those in Yahoo leagues, you can grab them before their game tonight without it costing you a waiver spot if you drop someone from your bench. Pretty easy way to snipe your opponents before the waivers run on Wednesday morning.

You can also pick up Detroit's D that way if you want them.

Picked them up myself.

Brissett got sacked 10 times. Yikes.

Cinci at home, off a loss. And their offense should be able to move the ball at will especially after Indy lost Hooker for the season.

NO is a play this week for sure, no?  Trubisky hasn't turned the ball over too much but he's taking sacks and the bears are a low scoring team.

I've got Arizona's defense, which has been no great shakes (but I need a defense this week, obviously).  I put in for New Orleans for this week, and I'll keep them on my roster for the playoffs, if I can.  We start playoffs in Week 14, where Arizona has Tennessee in Arizona.  In Week 15, New Orleans hosts the Jets.

I thought they'd be a good play last week....look how that worked out. Streaming has been more unpredictable than usual, it seems. A couple weeks ago, I  picked up Atlanta for what I thought would be a nice matchup against Miami. Can't really put my finger on why this year is so hard to predict.

They weren’t terrible in week 7.  Not great but not terrible.  My league awards negative pts.   Saints d scored 9 pts in my scoring system.  They only allowed 17 pts.

I mean, there’s also Cincy vs Indy.  Cincy is solid but I feel doesn’t have the same weekly upside as the saints.

Anyone else taking a chance on Detroit vs. the away team version of Big Ben?

Detroit D probably got dropped in a lot of leagues during their week 7 bye. It might be worth putting up with the tough Steelers matchup because their upcoming schedule looks great for a defense that has proven to be good so far.

Detroit or NO? I've got both.

I scooped up both DET and PHI this week on Monday...was planning on rolling with Philly vs SF, but will likely drop them at some point this week and play the Lions.  I think the Lions are a good option this week.  Steelers always have the potential to lay an egg on the road, especially coming off 2 good games.  Lions with the extra week of rest also helps.

Kept Det for potential hold ROS, and pairing them with Cincy this weekend, dropping BUF to do so. I actually think the BUF D can turn in some great performances down the stretch, especially playing MIA and NYJ in future games. So may look to repair them with DET after this weekend.

I actually waived BUF today to pick up DET but what you write makes a lot of sense. I normally don't like to carry two defenses but it's late enough in the season now that it might be a good idea to drop my last bench guy or lotto ticket to do this pair.

Their schedules match up pretty well.

I have minn, det, and no

if if I didn't have minn vs cle I'd be all over no vs bears.

heck I am second guessing minn over over no as I type this, but have to drop one of these defenses

im rolling det for the majority of ROS

Grabbed Philly and KC in two different leagues. Have Jags on the bench for both so I'll see you guys next year!

rolling with NO over BAL in one and in my other league, i picked up DET last week but am going to roll with BAL tonight.  last hurrah for BAL.

we'll see.

I'm drinking the Cincy cool aid in both leagues at the moment - they've been a pretty good streaming defense in the past at home.  Will consider DET as a possible ROS type D where available next week.
