GB over Cinci looks like a no-brainer even though some of the wideouts are banged up.  Cinci and both NY teams duking out as the worst teams so far.  Miami is very intriguing indeed.  But a divisional match up.  Probably going Green Bay.

Definitely looking at GB. Going monitor wr injuries though.
Looking at their schedule, the games that are the ones to like are mostly CHI or DET. Do you guys like any of these for later in the season?

Week 4 CHI
Week 7 NO
Week 9 DET
Week 10 @ CHI (not sure I like that one, but it's a favorable spread so far, pass)
Week 11 BAL (pass)
Week 13 TB (pass)
Week 14 @ CLE (if you make it this far, what a great ace of your sleeve to have)

They should beat Cleveland but I don't think I could wait that long and keep them in my pocket...mainly because I think they're the pick this week.  Cleveland's improving despite their record.  Just feels like a trap game.

After watching them last night I definitely wouldn't pick'em against Detroit.  They would be fine against Chitown despite the divisional match up.

Thanks. Maybe I should consider them. I'm just not liking CIN... I think they're better than how they've played and GB's defense looked terrible. I expect Green to run all over our DBs. Nelson and Cobb could be out...

I hear ya.  I will probably change my pick about a dozen times between now and Sunday.  Miami is really starting to grow on me.  That Cutler/Gase magic is back.

Remember, they were one horrific penalty call from being in a position to win at Atlanta last week.  And that was without Jordy for the entire game.  Looking at their schedule, I don't like any of the rest of their matchups (avoiding divisional and away games whenever possible).  Cincy is bad.  Bad, bad.  Lambeau will be rocking and the Pack probably puts up 40.

Week 3

Made the final cut
MIA @ NYJ: The Jets are that bad. Miami looks pretty good. This one is on my radar. If you're going to use Miami at all, it's this week or week 7 when they're at home vs the Jets. Either way it's the Jets

BAL@ JAX: Baltimore looks like the real deal. Their defense is stout and their offense is not bad. Jacksonville is terrible unless it's garbage time. The only other week I like Baltimore is Week 6 vs CHI, but I like other teams like HOU vs CLE or WAS vs SF that week better

DEN @ BUF: I don't see Buffalo's offense beating Denver's defense. I think this is a pretty safe pick.
I may cave, and go with one of the bigger favorites (NE, GB, Pit) but I'd really like to save them for later. So, I'll probably be deciding between these three games.

Miami scares me a bit... Divisional, and on the road, and we've only seen them once, so far.

Baltimore... Jax looked decent in week one. Road game... Still have Chi, Cle, Cin left on the schedule.

Denver... I feel like I know what Buffalo is. (Ok defence, pretty lousy offense.) It's in Buffalo, but I think this might be my pick.

That said, using GB this week still leaves a very juicy path to the end of the season...

Week 4: Atl vs Buf (-9.5)
Week 5: Pit vs Jax (-9.5)
Week 6: NE @ NYJ (-12) (Bal available here, too.)
Week 7: Mia vs NYJ (-10.5)
Week 8: Phi vs SF (-9.5)
Week 9: Sea vs Was (-9.5)
Week 10: TB vs NYJ (-11)
Week 11: Dal vs Phi (-7) (Also Min -7 vs Rams)
Week 12: Car @ NYJ (-6.5)
Week 13: KC @ NYJ (-7.5)
Week 14: Den vs NYJ (-11)
Week 15: NO vs NYJ (-9.5)
Week 16: LAC @ NYJ (-4) (Also Bal-6 vs Ind, Ten-6.5 vs Rams)
Week 17: Min vs Chi (-10.5)

The better route might be Baltimore(-9.5) in week 6, NE (-9.5) week 12

Thoughts: I don't really like picking away teams, but all 3 games I like are away. This seems like a pretty easy win for Baltimore. I would like to pick Miami though, as I think they will do just fine. If it was at home I wouldn't hesitate. None of the three teams above have much future value, which at this point I'm willing to gamble on less of a for sure win in favor of using a team that I likely won't need to use. I'd love to have PIT, NE, and GB in my pocket for later in the season. According to Survivorgrid.com they are 3 of the 5 teams with the most value rest of season. If you use them now, and last until week 10 or even later, you're going to be picking tougher games.
At least the Baltimore game is an away game for both teams, London, leaning that way...listening for...London Calling

Yuck... yeah I usually stay away from London games. Maybe that's why there was a discrepancy on home/away. London just offers another unknown factor (traveling, time difference, potential diet changes, etc). I tend to avoid them no matter what

Isn't Jaguars kinda "their" team since they play there every year?
Yeah... technically it's a home game for Jacksonville but fans tend to cheer for whomever and wear jerseys from all 32 NFL teams

I got GB this week at home vs CINCY
That's what I have entered for now. Leaning toward keeping it in there.

Here is how I rank my choices this week solely based on greatest chance to win:

Den at Bills

MIA at Jets

GB vs Cincy

CLE at Colts

I need to determine if Den or MIA hold future value in the near future.  I only look 3 weeks out.

Denver hosts the Jets in week 14.  Miami hosts the jets in week 7.

I am leaning Denver this week.

NE and GB looks like the only home teams worth considering, so leaning NE but would prefer not to burn that NE pick this week. Den @ Buf, Pit @ Chi, Atl @ Det look like the top three away picks. Based on all the inputs here looking like it'll be GB or Den for me.

Splitting my efforts between GB and NE.   Hate to burn them but I'd rather survive and hope for some big upsets down the road

Yes, of the away games Denver seems to be the only one I am really considering.

So for me it's DEN or GB. Putting aside the away/division rules GB has a lot to like ROS IMO. Even next week vs CHI

I just have a bad feeling about the Bengals

I don't like the Denver game a whole lot more TBH.

I am down to Den and GB.  Den feels like the safer choice but feel pretty good about GB.  Den looks really good on both sides of the ball.  The health of the GB WRs play a part in my decision to rank GB as second choice.

Probably going DEN myself now. Hard decision  :wall:

I much prefer GB next week with Chicago.

Sure, Jordy is back.....but how healthy is he?

The Bengals are playing for their season with a new OC and a pissed off elite WR that GB can't handle.

Have you seen how the Bungals have played the past two weeks?  Nelson has practiced in full this week.  Bulaga is back on the OL.

I know, any given Sunday, but just don't see how the Bengals keep up with Green Bay.

I also saw how Denver shut down Dallas and will do the same to Buffalo. Also, see their future schedule is not the greatest.

Buffalo, Oakland, BYE, NYG, @LAC, @KC, @Philly, NE

Meanwhile, GB has Chicago next week when the rest of the schedule, outside of Atlanta - Buffalo, looks pretty tough.

Divisional games aren't anything to screw with but GB does own Chitown.

I just think the sure fire bet is Green Bay.  But Denver is a 1A.

I am in a large pool (over 7500 entries), so this week they make you make two correct picks to be able to progress.  In the past, I have typically used the "lock" game of the week on all entries (down to 5 at this time), then match with other games.  Still in decision mode, but curious of others' approach to this scenario if you have the same in your pool?

I recall Cin beating GB as big dogs recently and knocking me out but I'm going back to the well.
FWIW the Bengals are only team Rodgers has never beaten.  Also an open question as to whether the OC switch (and desperation) give the offense a jolt.  Lastly Dalton historically does better against teams that have not seen him in the previous season (familiar/unfamiliar thing).  But the O-line is so bad.  So so bad.

For the record, as a Bengals fan I never pick for or against them in these contests.  Just offering the info.

Just looked at pick stats at ESPN in their fantasy elimination game and top picks as of now are: GB (24%), NE (15%), Mia @ NYJ (14%) and Pitt @ CHI (13%). It might be too early to get cute, but I think this seals my pick for DEN with GB being the public favorite. Surprised Denver isn't up there (5%), maybe I should be worried. NE losing week 1 eliminated almost 1/4 of entries in my big pool, so will be rooting for Cinci. :boxing:

For the record, I still like GB as a pick and really can't see them losing at home to Dalton.

Good luck everyone!

I am probably going to pick DEN in one or two of my five picks, but it's worth mentioning that in a tough week 11 slate, they get CIN at home, for CIN's 3rd road game in a row.

When everyone zigs you zag. GB is the #1 pick and, even as a GB fan, I'm a little worried about that game.

I will be going DEN as well. If I were a betting man I'd gladly take DEN beating BUF > 3. I don't understand why this spread is so close TBH

Took Miami myself
I'm riding their D this week on my team, but as far as Survivor goes, for some reason this game smells like a trap to me.

Miami clearly has the better team, and the Jets are simply woeful. That said, McCown didn't look awful last weekend, and showed some poise when flushed from the pocket (and surprisingly quick running for a 587 year old (ok, 38) QB. Was getting the ball into tight windows for Kearse to make a play, who also looked fairly good. The Jets running game is anemic, but Forte showed some sign of life and Elijah McGuire showed burst.

Miami has a decent secondary, but their pass rush and run D can be suspect. Going on the road, they may be looking down the road to a few NFC South teams and the Titans, and overlooking a divisional rivalry in an any-given-Sunday League.

Rolling with GB this week -- definitely was considering Denver, but GB on the not-so-frozen tundra against a clearly reeling Cincy team looks too good to pass up.

Something suspicious about that Denver line. I have Den but may go back to GB. Feel iffy about both
For some reason I am really leery of both of these games, too. I can't make up my mind. (Maybe I'll ask my brother who he'd take and do the opposite.)

The Bengals have too much talent to be considered a gimmie. They should be playing with extra motivation, considering the OC change, and their season being on the line. I think GB is a bit overrated.

On the flip side, Denver has a clear talent advantage over Buffalo, except maybe QB. While Simien is looking good this year, he's still relatively unproven. Plus this is a road game.

Tyrod Taylor is the factor for me. He looks so bad to start this year.

DT Marcel Dareus and T Cordy Glenn out for buffalo... liking Denver more

Fun fact: CIN is the only team Rodgers hasn't beaten. he is 0-2, 2TDs, 2 INT, 73.5 passer rating vs them

I looked into that, last time they played was over four years ago.
