That's not all.

@TBTimes_Rays: BREAKING: Under deal being finalized, #Rays trade Archer to #Pirates for Glasnow, Meadows and a still being decided 3rd piece
I read that the Rays payroll commitments beyond this year are $9.8M - $7.8M to Kiermaier and $2M still paid to Longoria. Everyone else is arb/pre-arb :lmao:

Rays outfield went from Gomez-Kiermaier-Mallex to Pham-Kiermaier-Meadows overnight.

I don’t know a lot about those guys but that seems better.

Mike Rizzo - 'I believe in this team! So much that I'm going to stand pat....WAIT! I'm even going to take a piece away from it while I watch every other team in contention get better. Hell! I'm even going to take that piece away and give it to one of those contending teams. That's how much I believe in this team'

Makes no sense at all.

@TBTimes_Rays: #Rays are sending Meadows, just acquired from #Pirates, to AAA @DurhamBulls to play everyday for a while. Glasnow to join big-league team

Ben Zobrist is such a rock solid all-around baseball player. I think you have to see him every day to appreciate how good he is.

He has a great eye at the plate, and seems to square up every pitch. And he plays an excellent second base and is more than adequate at the corner outfield spot, and can even man first or third in a pinch.

It wouldn't be surprising if he is a productive player into his forties, as is skill set is so varied.

winning player

Tyler Clippard starting for the Jays tonight.

The thing about the Rays doing the opener thing is that their relievers aren't all hot garbage.
