I think that B12 was similar to the B1G Champ game two years that gave a Bama team that didn’t win its division a slot...unless the Committee really liked Baylor. Seems like the same scenario though where Bama would have slid in *if* Tua didn’t get hurt and they’d won at Auburn.

I will say this.  If Georgia gets rolled and WI doesn't beat OSU then OKL should make playoffs.  They will get rolled but in that scenario they should get in.  I guess it's not their fault the big 12 conference is horrendous.

I mean we were out of regulation and looking at putting a team that beat a combined three teams by 12 points, which won a total of 14 games, together.  I mean it's admirable that they were playing on their 3rd QB and all, but it's really time to admit there are simply not ever going to be more than 4 worthy teams in any one year.  Certainly not enough to make actual good teams stretch to a what? 16 game schedule?

Not sure what to say. Your NFL team won’t have a winning record and get a home playoff game. Life is unfair, Gene.

Once the NCAA realizes how much money would be generated by expanding the playoffs it will happen.

Home games for the higher seeds would be wonderful.

More college football played by the top 8 teams would be wonderful.

Less top teams having players sitting out of the "Blue Bonnet Bowls" would be wonderful.

Cons - none

Ole Miss officials on the sideline at the FAU game today with contract & pen in hand. handed the paperwork to Lane as the final whistle blew.
FSU officials announced press conference while their new coach is in dogfight with Bearcats in the 3rd quarter.

I never played football in jr high or high school (I was a soccer sissy). I  therefore have an X’s and O’s question:

I’m watching the Cincy vs Memphis game and Cincy was driving late and running almost exclusively the “Wildcat”. When you know they are going to run the ball, what makes that offense so difficult to stop?

I know the answer, but I'm a little buzzed.

The person taking the snap is usually going to throw the ball or hand it off to a RB.    Having an extra runner in the backfield makes the defense work harder.
