2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (10 Viewers)

oh and just for the record, VanGundy, Jackson. The rule is very simple. The ball is "off" the last person to touch it. It has to be. No debatable technicality exists there. If I bounce the ball off your knees and it goes out. Off you. Beverly pushed the ball up into Booker's hand. Book literally bounced it out of bounds. Off him. Easy peazy correct call, no debate.

Agreed.

Without the replay, I'm thinking it would go the other way.

So why did we need to review it for so long?

because they had it wrong and it needed to be viewed from a few angles, then they check the clock. it was fine. i like getting things right. what's the hurry guys?
Maybe it's just a preference, but I would prefer games to actually not have the last 2 minutes take about as long as the first quarter of a normal game

Very cool ending, but my goodness the amount of stoppages. Can we not just have a ref from headquarters look at the replays and send in the calls? Figuring out who should’ve been on the court at the end should’ve taken about 2 seconds.

I went to bed early and missed it.  So sad too.  What a final play.

Can't believe PHX executed it to perfection with the pass from that angle.

Can't believe the Clippers gave it up.

Just wow.

The on court officials should not have anything to do with the video review. It’s like they don’t even watch other sports that use replay properly. Everyone should be forced to watch how it’s done in rugby.

How do the Clippers not get called for delay of game though?  They played stupid and wasted time about Cousins.  Maybe they were ignorant of the rule, so they get a pass.  But then Batum wasn't out there AFTER Cousins was reinserted?  That should have been the end of the game right there.  Shady.

Atlanta is not getting any respect.  Since starting 14-20 thru Febuary, Atlanta has been the hottest team in the league by going 27-11.  They then rolled over NY in 5 games and won a tough 7 game series against the #1 seed.  But yet are still an 8 point dog tonight, +390 to win the series and +1300 for an NBA championship.  They may not be the best team but the idea that Brooklyn is 13 times more likely to win the championship seems absurd.

I'll give you Brooklyn with any amount of points, and I'll take the Hawks.

Good point.

Milwaukee on the other hand....

Because they had a free timeout. That’s my biggest issue with the replays at the end of the game, it can give an undue advantage.
not watching anymore, but i also understand it had one of those not-the-point force-out calls . does anyone remember actual force-outs?

Also terrible terrible defense by Cousins on the inbound pass. He should have been directly between Crowder and the bucket
He shouldn't have even been on the ball.  You gotta sell out to take away the dunk/tip in and live with a contested mid-range perimeter.  With 0.7 you can ignore the inbounder and play 5v4 on the rest and take away any back picks/shape ups.

Had they been warned yet?

Lol...that is how closely I follow the sport.  But still why so little respect for the Hawks?  They have played as well as anyone down the stretch.  Not knowing crap about these teams except their record,, seems like Atlanta +8 is the play.

Because usually young teams with little to no playoff experience don't make runs to the finals.

Super teams can do it when they have a group of guys that have been in some playoff battles.

You could also look at the Suns and say what about them. They could be the exception to the rule, but they Paul and Crowder and they have also have yet to play a team that isn't missing an all-star or all nba player.

I know it is waaaaaay early, but I am still over the moon from last night. Is it possible that the Pistons could build a championship contending team that the entire league doesn't hate?

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn

The Boston Celtics are finalizing an agreement to hire Brooklyn Nets assistant Ime Udoka as the franchise's new coach, sources tell ESPN.
