I can't count the number of kids that come to fold "raw" and then move on to the NFL "raw" to be there only a few years.  It's not good NFL talent coming in.  That's what's at Clemson and Alabama right now.  It's talent that COULD be NFL talent if they worked with them.  Yes, there are exceptions like D Bush, but MOST of the talent that goes to the NFL is in the "raw" and "have to develop" varieties.

 
The whole "Harbaugh doesn't get talent" thing is overblown. MI sends plenty of guys to the NFL Draft (10 in 2020, 5 in 2019, 2 in 2018, 11  in 2017). They do not, however, have enough of the super high end talent. But who does? OSU, Alabama, and Clemson. After OSU, MI and PSU have the most talent in the Big Ten.

And lets talk about PSU - everyone kind of raves about James Franklin. But compare his record in the Big Ten to Harbaugh's. They are very similar. The big difference? Franklin beat OSU once so he won the Big Ten. 

None of this is a defense of Harbaugh. He has underachieved and this year was a disaster. I just wonder if the refs call JT Barrett short in 2016 and MI goes to the Playoff - is it a completely different narrative?

To be clear....i am not saying this. im saying he does very little with what he gets and thats a problem when the depth chart is so shallow.   All those 3 stars he gets have to get better or when the starter goes down,  theres a significant drop....there is no next man up ability there...its a significant difference between starter and back up

That was awesome.  And they were at the ready with a segment about him and his coach who thinks he's a better athlete than Watt and Bosa.

That kind of play on national television with the subsequent gushing made his stock rise how much you think?  Reminds me of what Clowney did that one time.

 
I’m a double Wisconsin grad and lifelong fan. Just saw they have a bowl game tomorrow against Wake Forest.  Why? I won’t watch a minute of it.  Could not possibly care less. 

 
OU-UF line has moved 10 pts after the UF opt outs. Their offense is 1-dimensional and missing studs are in the passing game, so unless backups explode on to the scene or the RBs catch a ton of passes...may be ugly.

 
I figured with the firing of Brown, it was likely that Harbaugh was going to stay...looks like it's going to be official soon...if not already :kicksrock:

Whoa, let’s not hand wave this away like it’s no big deal. Consider this:

Overall, Franklin is 1-5 against Ohio State, but his average margin of defeat is 9.6, including one-point losses to the Buckeyes in 2017 and 2018. In five losses to OSU, Harbaugh's average margin of defeat is 19.0, only a single loss by 10 points or less (three, 2016).

IOW, Franklin could just as easily be 3-3 against the Bucknuts. Plus the games were more competitive. One could argue that the Bucks rival (in the true sense of the word) is Penn State. 

 In six seasons at Penn State (2014-19), Franklin has a .709 winning percentage (56-23), with three 11-win campaigns in 2016, 2017 and 2019 that earned the Nittany Lions final AP rankings of No. 7, 8 and 9, respectively. Franklin has a 3-3 bowl record, including a 2-1 mark in New Year's Six bowl games.

Franklin deserves his fair share of criticism, but he’s doing about as well as he can with OSU as a roadblock. Harbaugh hasn’t even sniffed this.

Dantonio also had pretty good success vs tOSU in comparison to Harbs, including beating them in 2013 for the B1G title. Umaa hasn’t sniffed Indy yet.

I think Rattler has had a nice freshman season,  I thought Lincoln Riley got too conservative with him at times this year, especially with leads.  OU has the nations #1 QB Caleb Williams coming in, who will probably get redshirted.  I think some are skeptical of Rattler simply because for the last five years OU fans watched Mayfield, Murray, and Hurts.  My only issue is he turns the ball over too much, like that fumble there.  Otherwise I think he has the tools to be a really good one.  

 
Sigh. Maybe another 30 or 40 more Sooner points will get Grantham replaced.

Looks like half the florida team is there...oh wait..

The game has passed Grantham by.  He has no ability to adjust in game.  So stubborn in thinking his scheme will work.  

Oh, and definition of a pick play

Florida’s defense has been horrible all year so that part isn’t a surprise. They’d probably have another 7 points with their stud offensive guys playing, but probably wouldn’t make a difference in the outcome. Those guys aren’t worth 24 points themselves.

How many scholarship players against LSU 

Florida has had a fine season, but was wildly overrated by the committee based on how bad their defense is. Never made sense that they didn’t drop after the LSU game and it’s getting exposed now. A team like Indiana should have been in this game.

Smoke and mirrors for sure but let's not get ahead of ourselves and anoint Indiana for anything.  They beat nobody.  Might as well put FSU in there ;)

 
I haven't watched a ton of CFB this year but it wasn't the same.  All the cancellations and teams having outbreaks was sad for the sport.  

Playoff should be good except those are like three of my least favorite teams in CFB.  Guess I'm rooting for Bama,  :rolleyes:  

 
And LSU is why Grantham 's seat should be on fire.  Runs his script 1st half and nothing else.  Adjusts 2nd half and hopes its enough to win.  Got in a hole the offense couldn't dig them out of.  Seeing the same this game only trask gave Oklahoma a few breaks

Season diminished my interest in the sport by like 80%. Everything about it was obnoxiously bad. I think I realized that CFB was my favorite sport because of the crowds/atmosphere/bands/etc. Strip all that away and it’s really just bad minor league football with a few good teams. Hope to get my love back for it. 
 

Also, the sugar bowl should be good but hoo boy is that rose bowl is gonna suck.

Yeah, it was weird.  I almost preferred to listen to OU on the radio because you could hear the crowds well.  

This is the first time in probably 30 years I haven't studied bowl matchups.  

 
OU had a great season for a freshman QB. still not ready to face Bama. A lot of work to do on both sides of the ball.  OU will lose some WRs just too many.  Hopefully the Sooners stay off the Mary Jane and can play an entire season next year.  Good win tonight.
