2021-22 Battle for Shining Path's Cup - Semifinal time!! (1 Viewer)

WEEK 2:

Unfrozen Cavemen/Keerock  288.50

Flint Lead Pipe Locks/Henry Ford 284.36

.

.

.

higgins O\/\/n and shoot/higgins 174.34

Code Reds/Nathan R. Jessup 165.92

Less than 20 points separate 1st from 4th place, 40 points separate 1st from 8th place! Competition strong, soft tissue injury fallout at critical mass. NFL 2020 The War of Attrition!

Feeling pretty good about things despite my first two picks being Round 1 Almost useless and Round 2 pretty disappointing.

Whelp.  It was a good two weeks.  Time to start the downward spiral.

I feel (don't think it, feel it, my friends) like cutting Burrow was the shark move. The team is now rounding into shape under Mitchell Trubisky's backup leadership.

Eighth before the week, eighth after the week. Hmmm...

I'm no longer in last place!
I held my breath to see if it was me.  I would like to harken back to week 1 when I was in first place.  Now trying to stay out of the cellar.

Actually I'm in 6th place, but there's not a huge difference between my spot and last.  Race to the bottom!

I think we might have what is essentially a wire-to-wire finish here.

I'm still playing, though. Still fighting. You. Never. Know.

:football:

It's sad when everybody is trying to stay out the cellar rather than win.

In other notes, did I really drop the TB defense and what was I thinking when I did that? Must have been a late-night thing. No bueno.

Me too, still playing.  Not at all kicking myself for subbing in Cam for Matt Ryan 2 weeks stupidly.  I still couldn't catch Keerock, but it would be more interesting.

I also dropped TB in a very limited roster, limited transaction league when they played GB.   Picked up Miami.  DUMB DUMB DUMB.

My God, just realized I dropped Miami in that same league for the Chargers this week.  Dolphins had 3 DST scores.  I might carry the toaster to my bathtub now.

I realized it when I was scanning transactions and they'd been picked up. I think I deep down forgot exactly how deep our benches are here and was thinking about Summerpalooza, where I just stream because you beat me to TB.

So as far as that goes, :wall:

I've had a few start/sit decision go horribly awry. Like benching Miles Sanders when he rained thirty-five or so.

Picked up Taysom Hill today upon the news. No, I'm not using him as a WR. Stafford is very questionable and Herbert is now the only surefire guy and I need a backup. Might as well make it interesting. Good luck, fellas, and peace out.

Absolutely dominant!  Now it's always how fantasy football works where the best team loses in the first round because a kicker on the other team will get some weird 50+ yard bonus to beat you by 1 :)
Exactly what I was thinking...

Wow, up against @Henry Ford. Let's see what the week brings, shall we? I had no idea there were playoffs looming in this joint.

May the best Keerock win.
It's a late happening development, and a good one by our beloved commish.  Keerock dominated the regular season and should be a champ, but maybe we can get a good ol' split AP/coaches poll championship :)

When we were discussing what kind of league we'd do this year, we floated the idea of doing a playoff if we got this far.

Since we're here, I figured why not do a playoff?

Looks like Henry and I are battling Claypool vs. Allen/Ebron for the win. Should be interesting. Would have been nice if Claypool just connected with Ben for that long completion, but BUF corners are tough. So is the snow right now.

I think I just won 95.82 to 95.52. That's crazy. Whatever the final result, that was crazy close.

Good work either way, Hank. Pleasure competing against you in the leeg this year.
