2021 Buffalo Bills - Same as it ever was*** (1 Viewer)

JW: All-22 Review - Bills/Colts

the Taylor throw to Clay downfield was perfect.

Also, cool to see how much attention the Colts were giving to Watkins. That helped open things up for the other guys.
Do you mean the throw to Harvin?
that was great too, but Taylor was hit right after he threw the ball to Clay and there was a lot of open field in front of him.
IMO the throw to Harvin was just about perfect. The one to Clay was fine, but the reason he was hit right after he threw it was because he held it a little too long. It ended up being a bit short, otherwise it would have been a TD.

Rex: "They threw in this other dude, but guess what, he's not going to play. They're going to put Blount back there," Ryan said Wednesday, per The Buffalo News.

Nice smoke screen Rex but I'm pretty sure the Pats see what you are trying to do. You hope they put Blount back there instead of this guy. Blount is easier for your DL to contain.

Starting to get worried about a letdown. The hype right now in Buffalo is through the roof...

Wish I wasn't such a pessimist, but it's hard to be an optimist sometimes.

I am a life long and now long suffering Redskins fans. Have never been particularly fond of the Bills but since my team is mired in constant losing and dysfunction I think I will adopt the Bills for this year. My apologies for jumping on the bandwagon but I do have some reasoning.

I have the Bills D in one of my main leagues and Harvin in the other. I actually reffed Harvin when he was playing HS basketball and have always rooted for him. My dad played at, and my wife graduated from, VA Tech so I'm rooting for Tyrod Taylor, and I have McCoy in the Subscriber contest as well. And I have always liked Rex Ryan despite all of the criticism he's recieved.

So not that any of you care about this but I just wanted to chime in as a NFL fan who is rooted for you guys' success this year.

Cheers!

cant have a let down playing against NEpats. Rex wont allow it.

For what its worth , Id consider benching Brady this week if I had better options

I agree- It's Thursday and WGR hasn't talked any X/O's although they rarely do. It's been call after call of hyped fans expecting a blowout. Howard Simon also saying nobody on the Pats DST would start on ours.

I'm worried about Dion Lewis and Edelman on a bunch of just short over the middle crosses and screens. Not to mention Gronk. I'd only rush 4 and when they do decide to blitz I'm hoping it's Robey or someone.

I'm thinking they use Lawson on Gronk with a bracket Aaron Williams coverage.

I like Robey on Edelman in the slot and Darby on Amendola. Very curious to see if they do put Gilmore on Gronk as he wants.

Not many CB's have been able to stop Graham or Gronk. I do remember Talib being able to.

McCoy banged up doesn't help. Hoping the line is able to block. I do believe that we didn't show nearly as much of the playbook offensivley.

Hoping Tyrod can not get rattled and make some plays downfield. Clay could be big this game. I wonder if he is more hurt than we even all know from this past week.

Go Bills

142.3 decibels.

Welcome aboard.

I can certainly imagine a letdown against the Dolphins next week, but not this week against New England. If we lose, it'll be a plain, old-fashioned, getting-outplayed-by-a-classless-but-still-pretty-good-team loss, not a players-weren't-ready-to-play loss.

  • Impressive that week 1 had 3 rookies with major contributions

Extra impressive given that the Bills had no 1st or 4th round pick
Tyrod looks like a stroke of genius right now. We could've ended up with McCown or Hoyer.
I take back most of what I said about Whaley (however I still don't like the McCoy Deal)
Speaking of the McCoy deal - wouldn't Kiko be the perfect guy to put in coverage against Gronk?
Everyone (myself included) is going to lose their minds if the Bills start 2-0 while matched up against the 2 top AFC teams
BILLIEVE !!!!!!!!!

Lifelong Raiders fan, but growing up in Toronto, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Bills (and Jills). Love to see the excitement (FINALLY) for this team, and this weekend will be a gigantic test. I think it will come down to having the new talent on the team execute, and preparing Tyrod for all of the different and varied defensive looks Belichick and crew will throw at him.

Will be a tall test, so will be pulling for them to beat down their hated division rivals and start off 2-0. Looking forward, they have an up and down schedule of teams they should beat (Titans, Jags) and some of the more stiffer in - and out-of-conference opponents (Fins, Bengals, Giants). Getting a good foot forward early is key.

Agreed.

But if Incognito calls Brady a cracker and takes a bite out of his leg, I'd swallow that 15 yarder and golf clap.

Tell Jerry Hughes. Countless offsides penalties as well. Granted most are on like 3rd and long.

he was exactly the player I was thinking of, but in fairness he also got some horrible calls against him last year.

The personal foul against him when he smacked a teammate on the helmet after the teammate made a great play was my favorite.

You know this won't end well, right?

I'm jumping on this wagon this year. Nervous about this week and Bill having 10 days to prepare for a rookie QB. hand the ball off please. a lot.

Bills trolling the Patriots hard, 1-0 and we are really trying to be bullies around town.

The Bills still is selling a bunch of air-pumps today in the Bills store.

No offense to the Chiefs or anything, but I'm really glad some other team already got gut-punched for week two. No way does something like that happen twice in one week.

I hope this is a sarcastic attempt at a reverse jinx because this is the Bills we're talking about here. They're the masters at coming up with never seen before gut punches.

Nope. The Chiefs already got it out of the NFL's collective system, and McKelvin won't even dress for this week's game. We should be safe.

If the Bills lose this in a gut punch fashion, I'm blaming you.

Lol. The dark lord thanks you for giving him locker room fodder.

Should be a great game. Good luck.

Looks like New England will be starting their backup rookie center again this week. He got dominated pretty good by the Steelers last week. Bills DL could kill him

Corey Graham cleared to play Sunday. That's huge. Total BS that you can get a concussion and be cleared that quickly, but good for the Bills.

:lmao:

This Sunday is going to be awesome. It's starting to feel like the old days when the Danny's Dolphins came to town, Bryan Cox flicking off the crowd, Bills fans peeing on Miami's bus.

We're not there yet, but it's feeling like it.

Pats working out Bryce Brown.

Belicheck: Hello Bryce.

Bryce: 'What drills would you like me to perform.'

Belicheck: Drills? Oh, no, just tell us everything you can about those guys who cut you.' 'Here's fifty bucks'.

No surprise. He does this every single year when the Pats and Bills play. I'm surprised more teams don't do this actually

I've always wondered about this. Is it actually against any rules to do this or is it just an honor code type of thing?

Are you serious? WTF

Can we bring in Reggie Wayne, or someone? Didn't they end up cutting Spikes again?

I've had several concussions in my younger years, some quite severe - a couple I had almost completely blurred vision and lost some memory. However, the symptoms never lasted more than 24 hours. I think it's one of those things that affects different people differently.

This is just the old, incorrect way of thinking. No offense because I thought the same way as you up until fairly recently.
