Willing to go with the majority on injuries. Maybe the best way to handle is to assume no more injuries but players like Jamal Murray and Colin Sexton are out for the year?

I like this idea. Draft the players with their current health and abilities with an eye towards how they’ll perform in the playoffs this year on our new teams. 
 

For example, someone currently out for 4-6 weeks can be assumed to be back by the end of the season and ready to go for our competition. No additional injuries assumed beyond their current prognosis.

Understandable, but I still think it's necessary in basketball. Look at the MVP odds (not the end all be all, but a good start). There are just three players at better than 10-1, and another four better than 20-1. That's it. Like, 7 possible MVPs (and I pick eight. Neat). Plus, since we are going to do some kind of voting, the teams with those 7 players (again, neat) are going to automatically get more cred from teh voters just for those names. 

But if you like, I'll trade you #8 for #2.

The top half of this draft has a MASSIVE advantage. If we did a round reversal every round I’m still not sure it would even out.

But that’s the nature of the NBA, it is what it is.
