Celtics got away from attacking the paint, started launching 3's where they shot like 20% and lost the game in the last 5 minutes.

Man they are foul happy in this Mavs Grizzlies game. Of course they just said Memphis games have far and away the most fouls called of any team. They are top 3 in fouls drawn and committed. Jesus.

They also had the hilarious challenge which was finally corrected this year when a guy goes out of bounds or loses the ball out of bounds but is clearly fouled. And what happens if the ref calls it off the other team. Happens in pickup all the time where it's like "yeah man I stepped out because you pushed me, check it up."

Well little Yuki pushed Dinwiddie out, Dinwiddie tried to throw it off him, they called it off Memphis. Memphis challenges. Call "overturned" from out of bounds off Memphis to a foul on Memphis HAHAHA.
 
Idk if I can watch this much longer. Just FT after FT and terrible passes and drives by both teams over and over. The top like 6 players on the two teams combined are all out. It's not a good viewing experience.
 
Oy, that got a little nervy at the end of the Wolves game. Nice battling though after being down big early.
 
Kings have won 5 in a row after that 5 game losing streak that cost Brown his job. Don’t know if they can sustain it but the coaching change at least temporarily gave them a sense of urgency. Oh, and Keon Ellis is averaging 33mpg during this stretch. :deadhorse:

Yeah, the Keon Ellis situation under Brown was baffling.

Caught the end of the 4th and the two OTs for this one - fun game to watch. Sabonis was a force.

They're pretty much Bulls West: A mediocre team revolved around vets. The Suns have 2 vets that'll bring large returns. Bulls have some solid cheap young parts but their vets will bring little to nothing in return.

Even if a miracle Beal occurs, Jimmy Butler's not fixing the Suns. It's just prolonging the agony. They play zero defense. 35 year old Jimmy Butler isn't solving all those issues

Deal Durant. Deal Booker. At least one of the two has to be Houston bound. I'd do everything to send the other to OKC

Speaking of the Bulls, though, a smart team with a large expiring contract (I don’t know who that is) should really go after Lonzo Ball as a bench player. He hasn’t shot it well yet but he does all the little things right. Having his Bird rights and re-signing him to a risk appropriate contract could end up being a steal too.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bulls management keeps the team together and shoots for the playoffs.
 
Mavs were on fire from three last night. It's weird, they're a solid but unspectacular team without Luka and Kyrie (and Gafford), and they are just far more subject the the vagaries of weird little things. Like they lose against Memphis because they get a horrible whistle all night (20 fewer FTs than a team which typically commits twice as many fouls as were called) and then they beat LA playing largely the same game because they shoot over 50% from three.

They need a few more hot shooting nights here in the midst of an absolutely brutal schedule through february, and without their stars for probably most of it. I kinda think they just hope for the 6 seed and hang on as best they can.

There are a couple good players rotting away in Utah that will never be traded because Ainge drives such a hard bargain.

It's hard to imagine his market exceeding one of the exceptions, no?
 
Jimmy Butler is apparently telling Memphis he doesn't want to be traded there (despite that basically being the only viable trade destination in the league) per Haynes.

the bulls are just one good draft away from being awesome and by that i mean that somehow in a really good draft year the bulls get picks one through seven take that to the bank bromigo

At this point I almost expect it.

That they moved Derozan and Caruso perhaps gives some hope.

I'd prefer Ball as a reserve on my team than paying Giddey as a starter some ridiculous #. I see Ricky Rubio - league average to below average starting PG at their best.

I'd take several 2025 draft PG over Giddey. I only bring Giddey back if it's with a short term pact. Bulls have White/Ayo on good deals.....and id extend either before Giddey
 
Nice W for CLE. I did not have them at the beginning of the season as the best team in the NBA but here we are. Would love to see these two play in the Finals with a healthy Chet.
