2024 Philadelphia Eagles - First one was for the fans. This one was for the team. Next one is for the legacy. (9 Viewers)

Thinking the Eagles will have some success against the Rams this week. Need to be able to shut down at least Kupp or Puka and limit Williams on the ground. I think we are up to the challenge.

People need to settle down with the Q hype all over social media. They're going to burn this guy's name out before he even gets going. I preferred it when he was unknown.

So its a little early to talk playoffs and seeding, but whatever. I think the 1 seed is more important this year than '22. More than the bye, having homefield advantage is critical. I heard on the radio that the Lions basically have like 2 or 3 games outdoors this season. I think if the Birds have to go to Detroit they will have a very tough fight to win. If Detroit comes to the link in January, I think that very much benefits us.

The birds are currently at 8-2 and are one game behind Detroit at 9-1. They're remaining schedules are as follows:

Detroit - @Colts, Bears, Packers, Bills, @Bears, @niners, Vikings
Eagles - @ Rams, @Ravens, Panthers, Steelers, @ Washington, Cowboys, Giants

I can see a scenario where Detroit wins out, but more likely they will drop a couple. Packers, Bills, @niners and Vikings are all losable. I think they probably lose to the Packers and one of the last two games (Niners or Vikings). That would send them to 14-3

I think we have two losable games coming-@Ravens and Steelers both are a challenge. I'm not super worried about this weeks game, the Panther are atrocious and we've already beaten the last three. We need to flip one of the AFC North games and hope that the Lions fall off a little.

They did the same to Malcom Jenkins. He’s a good safety he’s not Dawkins but the safety play was so bad they overrated Jenkins big time

I'm not worried about the Steelers. Very over-rated team IMO. All three of our road games are challenging though. Washington still has a dangerous offense and game is away. Ravens can be hit/miss. And Rams are no slouch with a game fully cross country. Philly will probably be favored in every game except maybe the Ravens game, but not by big margins.

Ravens pass D is awful. If our big three receivers are all healthy and Hurts is on his A game, we will put up a lot of points against them.

Jason Kelce is becoming a quarterback of late-night sports entertainment TV, launching a new show — “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce” — that will air five consecutive Friday Nights beginning January 3 and throughout the NFL playoffs.

Have never been to SOFI before so this should be a fun experience Looking over the "go to food" i don't see anything that really sticks out, but i guess you can't go wrong with a pastrami-topped cheeseburger I dunno.

All I know is there will be like 75% Eagles fans and its going to be epic

Yessir, Long Beach! Was at the 2017 ACL game, the Soccer Stadium game that year vs the Charges too.
The Nick Foles game in 2018...
Did not make it out last year though
However,
We always seem to have a way to beat the Rams out here!

I was at that game at the Coliseum, I remember throughout the tailgate I was bummed and drunk-complained that I wasn't going to see Wentz and how our season was over with Foles lol. How things have changed since.

Yeah man, same. The future wife at the time was trying to pep talk me up the ride home and i was just sad. Just a crazy rollercoaster of a year both with football and emotions.

Anyway, I'm expecting a Stadium Takeover this Sunday. Its going to be a fun time I think.

I expect our offense to go after them passing the ball (although they should just run it like they have been but whatever)
I expect our defense to be able to feast upon their d-line, which also makes me expect a quick passing game from McVay/Stafford early.

In the end

Eagles 34
Rams 23

While I appreciate the thread title, and Daniel Jones is certainly not worthy to be someone's #1 right now.....he would be a much better fit as a #2 in Philly then Pickett is IMHO. He's never had the level of protection he'd get in Philly, and his skillset is such that the offense wouldn't need to change much, if at all, were he called upon. You could do MUCH worse for a backup QB then a guy like that. Personally, I'd love to see him warming the Eagles bench

I've always felt that Danny Jones has plenty of talent to be a very capable NFL QB but unfortunately landed with an organization that struggled mightily to surround him with the talent necessary to be more successful than not. Landing in Dallas next won't be any better for him as that team will be a train wreck at least until Jerruh kicks the bucket. I agree with @renesauz that Jones would be an upgrade over Pickett. I don't see it happening though. For some reason that I am unaware of the Eagles seem enamored with Pickett. McGee looked so much better during the preseason yet Pickett somehow is next man up if Hurts goes down.

The worst QB in the NFCE going to DAL and playing behind another bad OL would be the best outcome, entertainment-wise.

Football-wise, I'm not really interested in him coming here, mid-season, to be QB2. Don't need those failure vibes right now. Taking a flyer to bring him to camp next year and attempt to rehab his career? I might be open to that.

Slim reaper not playing tomorrow makes me a little concerned. I still think our defense is playing lights out and has the ability to shut down this offense. We really need to pass rush to actually get home to Stafford and push him out of the pocket.

I think it’s going to be a monster AJ Brown game tomorrow. And my prediction is that we get two pics from Stafford with one going to Quinyon.

Eagles win 34-24

Against a team with above-average corners, it’s not an opportune time for our WR1b to miss a game. Maybe Dotson finally steps-up, or AJ dominates enough that we can get an early, comfortable lead and pound the running game.

LA can't stop the run. Maybe we should just run it down their throats.

I have no fear of the Rams tonight.

Kyle Long on one of the pregame shows, when everyone picked the Rams to win. Long said no shot, they're not good enough on the lines to win against Philly. I agree.

I agree but bama had that edge against oklahoma and lost last night. It can totally happen

Did Bama also have an advantage of extra days of rest?

I dont think it would have helped them. They got their *** kicked

6 wins in a row for us, 3 losses in a row for Washington. Love it, really thought Washington was set to win the div.

Huge one tonight, a win would put us up 3 games in the div with only 6 games to go.

Eagles win tonight, you can lock the division up. These guys should be playing for HFA and the bye.

Brandon Graham has moved into 3rd place on the #Eagles all-time sacks list (76.5), trailing only Reggie White (124.0, 1985-92) and Trent Cole (85.5, 2005-14).
