2025 College Football Thread: FSU loses to Stanford in battle of academic powers (16 Viewers)

ND with 180+ rushing yards and gets in the red zone and its pass pass pass. Gotta play smarter.

Rubio (ND NT) missing the game was a concern coming in, but ND has largely done well against the run. Gotta make smarter passing adjustments and get 54 help on the OL as USC is abusing him.

SC has a good team. Maiava isn’t making mistakes that Carr is, so ND has to win the turnover margin in the second half. Riley will surely scheme Lemon open and ND DBs not named Moore better be ready.

Pretty on target. That was the worst half of football for Carr.

It feels like to me SC is playing close to the best they got while ND has a lot more room to get there. If Carr plays more like he has through th season then it should not end well for SC.

Which of course I am here for.

Not sure that's true. Be glad USC isn't playing the same way they did last week against Michigan. That was some of these I've seen them play this year.

I would argue they’re not playing the same way because ND is dictating that.

Denbrock might be the worst “feel” OC I’ve seen in a long time. You’re gashing them on the ground, defense needs a break, and he comes out slinging it.

You have two great backs, so I’d Love needs a breather, you run Price. Horrible feel.

Maybe. Just seems like the defense is off.

I think underwood for Michigan posed no threat downfield so USC could pin its ears back on the run. They have to respect ND’s pass more and ND has a better run game than Michigan so they have to guard against their CBs who are notoriously terrible getting burned.

Although I will say outside of Moore, ND’s secondary is about as bad as USC’s.

When USC keeps six in the box and goes 3 high, ND should run. Every time. Count in the 4th and see how they adjust. They are gashing SC and nearly every time it’s correctly checking to run with six in the box (4 DL, 2 LB).

I haven't seen them play this year which is why I said it "feels" like.

This is pretty much how ND has been on offense all year... with the exception of the misfires from Carr.

USC turnovers bailing out horrendous ND coaching in this one.

If ND passes again, it might just be coaching malpractice. Run the ball Denbrock
…and for some reason most of those plays on that drive, SC kept six in the box as if to protect against the pass. No idea what they were doing. Each of those gashing Love runs was six in the box.
