2025 College Football Thread: FSU loses to Stanford in battle of academic powers (13 Viewers)

Denbrock better run the ball this next series. Brian Kelly was coaching last night guys. This isn’t 2017.

The Convicts were spoiled last year with the great play of Cam Ward. He ran for many key 1st downs and kept plays alive with his scrambling. Plus a great arm. Let's see how Beck does.

ND’s lines struggling heavily to start. They need to get pressure on Beck with 4 or this won’t end well.

The Notre Dame offense is absolutely atrocious. If your QB can't throw an accurate 5 yard pass, it may be time to make a change. That's the best ND could find?

Early every season I say Marcus Freeman is overrated and have to eat crow all season.

It's only 20 minutes in and he's overrated.

Playcalling. Everything is short and east-west so far. They have to put some vertical plays in or Miami will just squat short.

Makes zero sense. If Miami stacks the box to stop Love, go over the top. Instead, we screen right into where the defense is. Denbrock 🤦‍♂️

He was on the team last year wasn't he? They chose the other kid over him. I assume because he could at least run the ball.

Exactly, if you don't trust him to throw down field he shouldn't be playing.

Denbrock is a doofus. Calls QB run again on first down without a running QB. Second down realizes maybe he should call a run but not with his AA candidate.

Then third down he gets bailed out by CJ’s athleticism. Maybe CJ settles in now, but man I hate this Kellyball offense.

ND DBs have to wake up in the second half. Both TDs were almost picks if the DBs are in better position. Hopefully the D adjusts at the half.

Need to see more vertical passing in the second half. Need to push the safeties out of the box. Fields need to make up for that fumble and he’s that player.

Good half from Miami, especially both lines. ND has to find a way to get pressure with 4 or they won’t win this.

Beck just lobbed the last one up and prayed.

These "analysts" are really trying to solution their overhyping of Manning. You can pick a few plays where scheme was likely a factor. You won't have as many of those as you will plays where Manning missed his guy or he was late or he wasn't set etc.

I'm still trying to figure out how next year is an incredible QB draft for the NFL. Have some QBs not played yet that I haven't seen? It reminds me of the year Kenny Pickett was drafted #1.

Too easy. Ash is terrible and defense is playing awful. Players who are seasoned looking lost out there is on the DC.

I wasn't impressed with Arch last year. Some good plays but average QB. Reminds me when Mack Brown was pressured to play Simms. Not that Texas has an alternative but Arch definitely over hyped.
