Why is Herbstreit not allowed in the Michigan stadium? I thought his kid was on the team.
Unless there's a new wrinkle in this he's allowed in, everyone is, even Urban. This is oSU* showing everyone how tough they are by dropping their "hammer" on Portnoy. Why is Herbstreit not allowed in the Michigan stadium? I thought his kid was on the team.
I don’t think OSU decision. I’m guessing Fox decision and they are leaking to stir up controversy to try to gin up ratings.Ohio State banning Portnoy from coming into the stadium for Big Noon Kickoff. Is this because he's a Michigan guy or something else? Weird.
If it was oSU* vs Bowling Green maybe, but vs Texas in their opening game of the year? I have my doubts Fox would need to drum up ratings like this. This has RyanI don’t think OSU decision. Not ratings for the game, but for the pre-game show. They are trying to kick off some redesigned kickoff show against Corso’s last College GameDay.If it was oSU* vs Bowling Green maybe, but vs Texas in their opening game of the year? Day's fingerprints all over it.
Yeah, i meant pre game too, but in the world we find ourselves living in who knows what's true. Not ratings for the game, but for the pre-game show. OSU AD is saying that it was a Fox decision: https://x.com/rossdellenger/status/1960315503244702158?s=61&t=H_x9QHHtveqmaMK5HnP2AA
The whole thing is definitely petty but Portnoy sucks and I don't care about either team so I find it all pretty hilarious shtick.Portnoy is awful and between himself, oSU*, and Fox that's quite a line-up of potential suspects.
As a fan of one side it's why the rivalry is what it is. The two most unlikable parts with Fox thrown in going head to head to head for the title is fantastic going into the weekend. The whole thing is definitely petty but Portnoy sucks and I don't care about either team so I find it all pretty hilarious shtick.Portnoy is awful and between himself, oSU*, and Fox that's quite a line-up of potential suspects.
So it looks like I spoke too soon. There is no banning of Portnoy from the Shoe by Ohio State. Apparently, Fox is not having him at the table and therefore does not have him in the stadium. A reporter asked Ohio State AD if they had banned Portnoy and he said they had not banned anyone.I can’t stand the guy but it is an awful look for Day (and the Buckeyes) whether he had anything to do with it or not. No real reason given that I can see so it’s probably just being petty. Day can’t seem to get out of his own way when it comes to UM.Ohio State banning Portnoy from coming into the stadium for Big Noon Kickoff. Is this because he's a Michigan guy or something else? Stephen A. Bayless you say?Why would Fox not want their splashy new Stephen A. Bayless on their set? That makes zero sense.
This whole thing seems to be all Portnoy. I don't think he was ever hired as a full time analyst with a consistent presence at the main desk. Nobody loves to crap on ohio more than me, but Portnoy sucks and this is right in his wheelhouse. Nice troll job though![]()

Most of what he says there is true in regard to oSU*. Certainly in their MO to be that petty and weak. Did they really ban him? Who knows. It's been an interesting and fun few weeks

1. It's totally on brand for Day.
2. The only people saying it isn't true are the OSU people. Well, except for the OSU guy who started it.
Taking some small - very small - nibbles on Boise St -5.5, Nebraska -6.5 and SDSU -19.5.
Fade accordingly.
Yeah, how is this team ranked in top 25 let alone top 125.Taking some small - very small - nibbles on Boise St -5.5, Nebraska -6.5 and SDSU -19.5.

Wow Boise State SUCKS!
Yeah. Announcers were talking Florida and the U should watch out for USF. I don't think that’s what happened. Boise State lost most of their offense in the offseasonTaking some small - very small - nibbles on Boise St -5.5, Nebraska -6.5 and SDSU -19.5.

“Change of plans”.Say goodbye to Nebraska Football. They just pissed off the Swifties.

It was a good run. Not lately, but it was a good run for a while.
I was a little annoyed when UC moved that home game to Indy. But I would have easily made that trip. I hope the extra few million to move it to KC was worth that loss. Also flummoxed about debuting those new all-red jerseys against a red/white team that was going to be basically on the road playing in a sea of red.

Ohio State University challenges Michigan-based restaurant over 'Buckeye Tears' trademark
Ohio State filed a notice of opposition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Officewww.cbssports.com
Well, this kinda settles the argument on whether or not the banning was true or not. If they'll do this, they'll certainly ban the loud mouth.

Yeah Baylor has never worn gold ......College teams should try actually wearing school colors once in a while. Baylor looks like they are wearing prison uniforms tonight. Nothing resembling Baylor.
I thought Tarleton was a brand of cigarettes, but they may have just beaten Army.
Don't know anything about SH but they just moved up from FCS recently. Maybe they need to move back down.Unlv is playing at Sam Houston State and it looks like a Covid era crowd. Entire sections completely empty. It’s kind of weird actually. Like they have these nice fancy seats right off the field and nobody is in them. It’s week 1! How do programs like this survive?

Did you not see the tens of fans at the South Florida game last night? Embarrassing.
Looks like they spent some money on that stadium and I don’t know why. But that is in Texas right? Friday night football huge there I guess idk. Should be able to outdraw high schools.Don't know anything about SH but they just moved up from FCS recently. I fully approve this direction. Take the money from the Liberal Arts programs if necessary, but college football should be played on or very, very, very near campus. Having to truck 30 minutes or more to a game is terrible and nowhere near what the college experience (w/r/t football) should be.USF is building a new stadium on campus. No idea why really, but where they play now at Raymond James is a full 30 minutes from campus. But they really don’t have the money to fund it.
I can't watch GT football. Every time I turn them on (which I admit is not a lot, but every time...) their QB looks like he's one play away from dying on the field. Kid is a warrior.

Idk about didn't want. More like Venables had a terrible OC, all the OL and WRs got injured, they couldn't pick a QB, everything on offense sucked, and Arnold was like get me TFO this place (rightly so!). OU did him very poorly.Wait, OU didn't want Jackson Arnold? No wonder they suck now.
