2025 Detroit Lions: 4-1 Lions win battle of the big cats. (100 Viewers)

PFF announcer just said Lions have gotten 4 of "his guys". He thought the order and placement was weird but he thinks these players are all excellent.

I like that pick for you guys.

And I hope Goodell was saying to him something along the lines of “I know you wanted to go higher but this is your draft day man. None of that matters, you made it. You absolutely killed it”.

The young man looked a little disappointed and I just hope someone makes it clear how much of a winner he is today.

Branch is a great pick IMO, probably the only player I would have been good with if the Raiders passed in Mayer (who I was coveting).

Getting Branch softens the earlier blows a bit. I agree with most, I like the players but not where they are drafted. However, if the end result is a better team on the field and a contender….who the hell cares.

The common denominator between all these guys is they will start Day 1. You can hate these guys and hate the strategy, but these guys will be on the field a lot making plays. They are drafting to win this year. It is very contrary to what they said their draft strategy was.
Well said. It’s been confusing.
Again if he was their highest rated player I’ll stick with them until proven otherwise

Well most teams don't prioritize knee-cap biting quite as much as the Lions which is a large part of the disparity between our draft boards and others. Jack Campbell for instance was all alone on tier one in that category.

This is faulty logic to me. Other than a QB the guys they drafted with these picks were expected to be starters or at least play from day 1 and help them win this year.

I think Kancey would have been a depth player the first year.

Trade

trade chart actually slightly favors Detroit on that one but it's within 2 so even steven

The thing about trade value charts it only really matters if you take the correct player. If a trade is in any teams favor and they botch they pick it really does not matter.
