2025 Philadelphia Eagles - 24/7 AJ Brown chatter around this team. That’s a good sign, right? (35 Viewers)

A lot of you Philly guys are all Doom & Gloom about this season so far.

R E L A X !

Sure, there are some things to be concerned about. Among those things, I consider injuries to be the most concerning. I do not believe we have enough quality back-ups to weather a full season and playoffs if we lose any more starters for significant chunks of time. Hopefully we can avoid any more. Or better yet, if any injuries do occur, none to our starters.

On Brandon Graham; I welcome him back with open arms. Not so much for his physical prowess on the field as much as his presence in the locker room. Just his locker room presence alone will be beneficial for the whole team. Whatever he can bring to the field of play as a defender is a bonus in my eyes.

This team is obviously not clicking on all cylinders yet. That is okay with me. There is something to be said about a team peaking too early. I would rather have this team peak later in the season.

Oh, and R E L A X !

With the bye coming up, probably doing the same thing they did before the last Giants game and rolling the dice without him so he can heal up.

Let’s hope things don’t turn out the same way this game!

I would rather the Eagles face the Giants w/o Brown now than facing more formidable teams w/o him later. We need Brown to be healthy for the tough late stretch of the regular season and then the playoffs.

One other thing. For those fans that believe his "diva" antics aren't worth dealing with and that we should shop him around and get what we can for him? NO. NO. NO.

How many WR's are out there that can do everything he can? The answer is not many at all, in fact very, very few. It will be to the Eagles detriment if they send him packing. 100%.

I suppose Brown could eventually force their hand by increasing his "divaness" and if that becomes the case I might change my mind.

AJ Brown is out!
Has there been any mention of when he even got hurt? He seemed fine at the game
Says hamstring. Who knows though.

Some people say this play. Did he come back in after this one? Game was done at that point anyway.

he was in the game to the end and caught the first down pass to ice the game on the right side of the field when he came back to Hurts in the scramble drill. he looked okay to me, but the hammy could have flaired up later. i hate that there is smoke here, hope his hammy is really hurt.

let's all pretend this is an orchestrated drama to hide some other drama brewing somewhere else on the team and AJB volunteered to be the bad guy with the look at me post. yea, let's go with that.

For the first time I think AJB might get traded.

Too many bad teams looking to make moves right now, and a lot of those are badly run teams **cough Jaguars BTJ cough**

Howie usually/mostly knows when a bad poker player is willing to jump in and he can take advantage.

Add a CB/DE ***IF*** AJB is traded and this defense could be just as good as last years. And just ride that into the playoffs.

I DO NOT want this to happen, but also have to at this point, accept the possibility.

Too much smoke in here.

If they trade him they’re forfeiting the season, it ain’t happening
If they don’t and it’s a bigger issue then publicly let on it could derail the season anyway.

He's not getting traded this season. Maybe next season post-June 1, but not at the deadline. As said above, the dead money on a trade is too much.
He’s not getting traded, period. We won the SB so you can’t fire the coach or trade the QB. Next best clicker is the fractured relationship between the QB and WR. It’s tired.

Philly does not need this distraction. This season is already a challenge. AJ needs to come correct but I doubt he will. I say trade him and get some help that will work towards the same goal. Not individual stats that satisfy a diva. Weird year. Mojo seems really off.

It’s been going on for 2 yrs now the fractured relationship. It’s not clickbait. If BG had to publicly come out and say somethings it’s definitely not nothing.

Per Russini

A.J. Brown’s frustration is loud, but Jeffrey Lurie’s message is louder

The defending Super Bowl champs are getting phone calls and interest in wide receiver A.J. Brown, but for now, the Eagles want him on their team.

That’s despite Brown’s ongoing social media gripes after wins and losses, including his latest after a 121-yard, two-touchdown performance in a win over the Vikings, when he captioned his Instagram photos with: “using me but not using me.”

Translation: The Eagles are using him when they are in trouble, but not involving him consistently enough for his liking.

He’s clearly losing patience.

Brown — who will miss Week 8 with a hamstring injury — is loved in the Eagles’ locker room and even has a lengthy personal history with his quarterback, Jalen Hurts, but it’s obvious something has changed between the two on the field. The Eagles will say everything is fine, but many around the league can see it plainly on the film.

An opposing defensive coach said he actually understands Brown’s frustration.

“Hurts struggles against zone,” he said. “That’s when A.J. goes MIA. There are times it looks like Hurts doesn’t fully trust what he’s seeing, so he checks it down and plays it safe. It’s either a deep shot or a checkdown — not much in between. The timing is just off. And you can see it on the field — the communication between Hurts and Brown just isn’t there right now.”

The question is inevitable: If Brown continues to seem miserable in the final 10 days before the trade deadline, does something have to change?

I asked Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie what he would do if Brown knocked on his door and asked for a trade. His answer was firm, team-first and championship-minded.

“We do what’s best for the team,” he said. “We don’t even consider it seriously unless it’s best for the Eagles. We will always do what gives us the best chance of winning big. Everything else is secondary.”

Bottom line: Brown can be frustrated all he wants, but this team plays for the ring first. However, GM Howie Roseman will always listen, and if the Eagles get an exorbitant offer? Nobody is untradable in Philadelphia.

So why do the Eagles, a team that, on paper, might have one of the top rosters in football, always seem to have internal conflict?

“It’s not conflict. It’s intensity,” Lurie said. “The players respect it. I like intensity. The players are intense. Howie’s intense, I’m intense, the coach is intense. Every week, every situation, we approach it with intensity.”

Lurie, Roseman and Nick Sirianni are among the architects of a locker room that may appear combustible to the outside, but is constructed this way for a reason.

“We encourage it. We want different personalities,” Lurie said. “Sometimes, in trades or in free agency, we’ll bring people in that complement those that we have. They’re different on purpose. We don’t want sameness.”

Lurie believes Sirianni holds a key role in Philadelphia’s operation.

“He is one of the best connectors in sports,” he said.

Now, Sirianni may have one of his biggest challenges: To find a way to make it work on the field between Jalen and A.J.

If that’s possible …
