*** 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers: No QB yet (13 Viewers)

Steelers seem to be targeting Ravens linebacker again. Terms for LB Malik Harrison, league source confirms. He gets a two-year, $10 million deal.

Steelers should bring back Mason Rudolph.. Just let him play.. They aren't winning the SB next season, so give him a fair shot and let him work through his difficulties.

I don't want Rodgers, especially for what he wants, and don't want to break the bank on Wilson or Cousins who are dinosaurs.

Saying Rodgers could want $90mm with $40mm guaranteed.

Omar severely miscalculated this.
Am I allowed to not buy this? I know you got some sources but I am having a hard time buying this as accurate.

For one as much of an oddball as he is/seems he took a legit pay cut not long after joining the Jets. I don't mean one of those restructures where he got salary moved to bonus. I mean a legit pay cut on guaranteed money. Virtually unheard and I commend him for it. But my point is that is not the actions of someone who is constantly seeking best contract/pay.

Secondly, he did what when he had more options.

Maybe we'll find it today, Tuesday. But this seems out of character.

That’s not my source. That’s in the media.

If they really preferred Fields, they really misplayed this whole thing. Field’s contract isn’t bad at all. Keeping him would have felt like a plan was in place. If Rodgers gets that deal, then we look so foolish IMO.

We sign Slay 5 years too late. Let Roberts go so we can just have the Ravens ILBs. Sign DK to a huge deal instead of trading a 7th for Kirk for less and not creating a controversy. If we have to trade Pickens we are back in the same spot.

What are we doing? Where is the strategy?

In that case, they're proceeding with the mentality that you shouldn't have to worry about how a particular player feels about an acquired teammate. I'm a player-type guy (I think—maybe not so much actually), but I don't blame them here.

Maybe not to spend this year, accumulate comp picks in 2026 draft, have huge cap space and pick count. Go for glory at the draft in Pittsburgh?
I mean, at this point, it makes more sense than trying to go 9-8 again. DK is here for 5 years, so he'll get 4 yrs with the QB pick next year. Draft Hampton in the 1st rd, build the offense up now, insert QB next year????

You still can sign Fields for that contract and maintain strategy. They want to win for Cam and Watt now though. Can’t waste their years.

I don't think it was weather the Steelers preferred Fields or not, they may have, but I am sure Fields didn't prefer the Steelers and had a bad taste in his mouth on how he was treated here.

Najee will flourish with the Chargers. Expect his average yards per carry to increase
They still have Gus and Dobbins?
Dobbins yes, they cut Gus over the weekend.

No. Dobbins is an unrestricted free agent. If he doesn't re-sign with them, he doesn't magically walk back into camp with a position. So neither Gus nor Dobbins is under contract with LAC.
Yep see that now, quick google search referred to him as being on the LAC, so I trusted that. Wouldn't hate Dobbins in Pitt.

I understand. Google and its artificial intelligence summaries have become unreliable for quick searches. It's sad. They took some of the most powerful tools in the world and rendered them temporarily useless. Happens to me, too.

If the reports are true that Steelers offered Fields 30m over 2 years and only 20 mil guaranteed, then I don't know what the plan was.

You really want to pay a 40+ clown over 30m per season?

Looks like I'm a Packers fan

Is there a purpose to this beyond picking a random NFL team? (That statement sounds critical, but I like random generators, I'm legitimately just asking if I'm missing anything.) Whatever the case, I spun it and it landed on my Bengals. Weird!

I've repeatedly have stated if the Steelers sign Rodgers I will not root for them this season and root for a different team

So I let the wheel choose ;)
