Going back and forth on Giants and Bears. Bears banged up. Bryce traveling overseas changing routine can't results in positive results against Giants. Hmmmm

Anybody here holding Denver after that disastrous worst overall fantasy performance against the Ravens and with KC and a bye on deck? Any insights about why they might be a league winner in the fantasy playoffs. Without being too autobiographical, I have a chance to pick them up.

I'd personally drop and I did one league. They only have two decent starts rst of season imo.

Bucs D dropped in my league. Anything to see here? Face SF this week, then the bye... but after that, they face NYG, CAR, LV, LAC, DAL, CAR and NO to close out the season. Might scoop them up on their week off and hold through the remainder.

Damn. Good post. Tampa on waivers until tonight. Didn't realize that was the remaining schedule. I'm going after em.

You’ve just convinced me to pick them up, but my current te bye week is going to prevent me from doing so until next week. I’m glad they’re on bye then, after a tough matchup, so maybe people will sleep on them for another week.

I've been still holding Denver. I did not play them last week and am waffling a bit regarding this weeks KC matchup. However I have been keeping them for upcoming ATL, @LV, Cle, Bye, Ind. Perhaps fools gold though. I cannot find a matchup I am very high on this week to replace them with. NYJets, LARams, Buffalo all have decent D/ST but not necessarily this particular week.

Not sure why anyone would drop Pittsburg. Sure the schedule is tough, but their defense produces.
Honestly? Just to pick up another lottery ticket. And I have KC. Looks like I’d be playing KC week 10, 11, Pitt week 12, KC week 13, Pitt week 14, KC 15 and 16. I hate looking that far ahead.

Id also rather not drop them and have them perform stellar against good teams. Someone dropped them and that’s how I have them. I always try and remember the phrase “will this player burn me somehow if I drop them.”

In my personal league, for ROS rankings, PIT, DEN are 1 and 2 and LAC are 4.

I’m holding all 3 so far. See how things shake out.

I have KC, LAC & PIT

Week 10 ECR: 3, 1, 10
RoS ECR: 9, 7, 1

But tbh don’t see me starting the Steelers again except for the two Browns games. All of them have unfavorable matchups next week & the Dolphins (v LV Week 11 & v NE Week 12) are on the wire.

I dropped KC for Pitt this week. I agree the schedule favors KC, but the fact is they don't put up the same numbers as Pitt.
Probably depends a lot on scoring as well.

Good luck.

In my league we have points for: 3 and outs, tfl, 4th down stops, 3 and outs in addition to the standards. Minnesota is top at 99.50, then Denver (which I just realized is a FA right now), then Pitt, GB is a fa at 6 and KC is 16 with 50.50 scored. Just below LAR who are available too.

The clear top two in my league are Pitt and Denver. Now I’m thinking i should pick up Denver? Ugh.

I've currently got DEN vs KCC. Not feeling great about it, especially after the Broncos got 1 pt vs BAL last week. Other options aren't looking great either....

ATL @ NOS (Saints are clearly in tank mode, relatively speaking)
DAL vs PHI (Parsons back... Maybe the Cowboys show some pride in this one?)
JAC vs MIN (Darnold is good for at least one pick and a couple of sacks, no?)
NYJ @ ARI (Jets coming off their best game in six weeks)

Am I overthinking this? Or should I drop DEN (can't roster both) for one of these four? For what it's worth, I've been streaming pretty much all year, so dropping DEN isn't a huge deal (there just aren't many great options this week).

For what it is worth, I held onto Denver and am hoping for a floor total in the 5 to 7 point range. A historical division battle usually means a tougher, harder hitting game (at least in the gut feel department). I considered NYJ for quite awhile this week. They play IND next week and then a bye. ARI isn't quite the pushover offense either. I agree, not great options for streaming this week. Denver has been a good scoring defense, except for last week against Ravens.

Chargers have been great the last 3 weeks, but it might be time to move on. They have Bengals, Ravens, Falcons and Chiefs up next.
My best options are
Houston vs Dallas
Miami vs Las Vegas
Rams vs NE

Not so sure. They have Bossa and Mack back. Why don't you think they can continue to be strong?

Bengals and Ravens are putting up a lot of points. Maybe I am over thinking it.

Good point. Very true if your scoring is affected by PA.

Done with the Bears. The defense is good but the team is completely disfunctional.

Eyeing Detroit or Houston for the next 3 weeks at least.

Det - Jax, @Ind, Chi
Hou - @Dal, Ten, @Jax
I have LAC now and they've served me well. But the schedule is getting tougher and DET is available. Need to make a decision...

I dumped LAC for GB this week.

I wasn't impressed against the TN D. Seven sacks yes, but TN moved the ball well. Think it's a solid D but a lot of their early fantasy success was due to the schedule.

The schedule looks difficult.

Detroit seems like a no brainer at least this week vs Jax and also maybe going forward.

Noone has scored more than 20 points against them. That means a lot in most redraft scoring systems.

Let the Chargers go, they’ve been solid but I don’t have much confidence in the next 4 games.

Also dropped the Chiefs even though they do have some favorable matchups RoS. IMO KC is a better defense IRL than for FF.

Holding Steelers for the two Browns games.

Picked up the Packers for a 1-week rental v CHI.

Need to pair someone with PIT for RoS:
  • LAC
  • NYJ
  • NYG
  • NOS
  • KCC
  • SEA
  • TEN
  • TBB
  • JAX
  • DAL
  • CIN
  • LV
  • CAR

I dropped KC last week and LAC this week. Will be most likely picking KC back up end of week for the next two weeks: @CAR, LV.

Beyond that, who knows. I find it's impossible to plan too far ahead with defenses as the sand shifts due to injuries and other factors.

Also, there are so many managers that don't plan ahead they end up dropping a good D that in two weeks is a slam dunk.

I’m aware. Don’t trust them.

I’m surprised KC is in the upper half of this list with their tepid fantasy scores.

I’m on the fence about replacing them, but I’m not sure it’s going to be with TB if I do, because I don’t trust starting a bad defense like the Bucs, no matter how cushy their schedule is down the stretch.

Starting GB for a one week play while I figure it out.

I am torn as to which defense to start in Week 11???

Miami vs. L V Raiders
or
LA Rams vs. New England

right now I am going with the Rams, but I could be convinced to change it to Miami. Thoughts?

I have both options as well.

Miami pass rush looked pretty good against Stafford and crew. They were getting after him.

I’m rolling with them against a hapless Menshew. Who is trying to lose his job as the starter for the umpteenth time this year.

Generally Maye has struggled against good pass defenses & succeeded vs average/bad ones. Rams are in the latter.

Dolphins have looked great vs bad QBs but not so much against good ones. Good news is Minshew is squarely in the former.
