RIP NFL QBs facing Flores and the Vikings D.

In the space of about 11 seconds, pre and post-snap, the Vikings D shows Cover-0, Cover-1, Cover/Tampa-2 and then let's call it 2-man, flowing (sorry) from one to the other.

And that's before the O needs to figure out which of the 5 guys at the line are rushing or dropping.

Nightmare fuel

H/T @alec_lewis for the vid. For some reason, Twitter doesn't want to embed properly today.

Pats didn't do much against pitt but get Carolina next week. The 30-0 score is deceiving. Offense didn't do much. We're just efficient on turnovers by Atlanta.

Riding one more week. Week 5 Arizona has Tenn. Could be a good play. Trying to grab them a week ahead.

Rolling with the Chargers this week against Dart. I don't feel great about it. A little nervous Dart might show out at least a week or two until defenses understand his strengths and weaknesses.

Not sure if I give Buffalo one more shot vs NO, I thought with Pit an Buf I was going to have great DST contributions this year. I think I've gotten least points from DST this year.

I picked them up in a couple leagues. To be honest, the D has looked a little soft but they were out two key defenders last week. If they (Ed Oliver and...I forget the other LBs name) it could be a different story. Also, the game is at home, they are 16 point favorites, and at some point Rattler is going to give the ball up). If BUF gets up big, it could be trouble for the NO offense.

That said, in one league I have GB as an option (against a CD less Dak) and HOU is available. Debating.

Dropped the Ravens D. I have no idea why they were/are ranked so high. -3, 15, -4 points for me. Now they face KC this weekend.

I guess I can't comment much about D's since I started Atlanta's last weekend (LOL) but I did pick up the Texans vs. Titans for this week.

i have the Chargers and i'm considering swapping them out, maybe just going streaming every week forward.

i usually try to pick up a defense and keep them 3-4 weeks, but i'm not seeing anything that looks good at the moment.

i almost picked them up but had the same thought. Went with the Texans against a different rookie QB instead.

So my options this week is to roll with Indy vs LAR (implied 25 points). Then I can keep them for LV, Ari, LAC (skip), Ten, Pit, Atl. And they’re ranked 8th in defensive DVOA.

Or

Pitt vs Min (22.5) then drop.

NYJ vs MIA (23.5) then drop.

Or pick up Cleveland vs Det which is bad, but I can hold for Min, Pit, MIA, NE. And they’re actually a good defense. Ranked 3rd in defensive DVOA. It’s just that they’re facing Detroit this week. Managers hoard and stream defenses so I’m not sure j would be able to get them next week if I didn’t get them this week to replace the colts.

Half the defense is on the injury report. I'd avoid no matter who they're playing.

The Saints don’t just have problems on offense. SEA had a punt return TD & a blocked punt that could’ve easily scored another TD. The only deficiency I see is BUF going up big then letting Rattler dink it down the field for a couple time consuming TDs, like ARI & SF did.

I thought there was a decent chance they get back a couple of defenders this week.

NO outside in Buffalo?

I don't know. Rattler's been playing decently, but I wonder if this is a game where the wheels just completely fall off in comeback mode.

I scooped up Patriots D to hold until week 6. Week 6-9 They get:

@ NO
@ TEN
VS CLE
VS ATL
They get Carolina this week as well. Which felt good on paper… but I have PTSD starting the falcons against them last week.
I'm debating still rolling with Cardinals @ Home vs Seahawks on Thursday then vs TENN week 5 - then pairing with NE and using NE for a straight month. Cards have good playoff matches if you can somehow hold

I have SEA but they face TB next week and despite them being injury-laden, they are always feisty.

For next week, I can preemptively pick up either:

ARI (secondary is all banged up) v. TEN
or
KC @ JAX

Opinions?

How do yall feel about MIN defense? Two meh games, one blow up game. Flores runs a fantasy friendly scheme, but their schedule is horrible after the bye.

Who are you guys feeling good about here?

GB @ Dallas (SNF)
or
DET v CLE

Detroit projected to have the better outcome, BUT .... there's something about GB strolling into a weak Dallas offense on SNF that has me intrigued.

I agree about that Dallas Green Bay storyline. Parsons having a game to up the ratings just seems like a story that writes itself.

DID YOU KNOW? 💡

The Seahawks have three cornerbacks who rank top 5 across several metrics according to our new Coverage Responsibility model.

🔹 Witherspoon: #4 lowest targeted since '24
🔹 Woolen: #3 most time spent in tight coverage
🔹 Jobe: #2 in EPA when targeted thru Wk 3

The Seahawks finished with 14 different defenders recording at least one pressure on Kyler Murray; only one defender finished with more than two (Uchenna Nwosu).

Murray's average time to throw of 2.37 seconds was his fourth-fastest mark of his career.

What makes you think Atlanta is a bad defense? Their offense was the problem last week.
To clarify. I don't think they are just a bad defense. Top 10ish in a lot of the metrics this year. Pts allowed. Sacks. Turnovers Good job to an improving defense. I can convince myself they make sense. My opinion is more like would I be surprised if in the perfect matchup they have a zero sack and zero turnover game? Nope. I was forecasting that buyers remorse wondering why I started Atlanta defense. Imo
