2025 Trade Deadline Fantasy Implications (1 Viewer)

OK, so far...

Jackobi to the Jags
Shaheed to the Seahawks
AD MItchell to the Jets (in the Sauce trade)

Jackobi to the Jags: Well, It will be interesting to see if anything happens with BTJ before the end of the day (doubtful) but I'd say this is a meh deal that likely helps no one on Jacksonville as it seems to dilute the value of all involved.

In terms of the raiders: wewll, the early reports are more 2 TE sets putting Mayers out there, and likely a small bump to everyone lower down on the target tree. I think this helps Mayers, Jeanty, and all of the WRs to a certain extent. Pecking order is still likely Bowers, Jeanty, Mayers/tucker and maybe a thorton sighting?

Shaheed to the Seahawks:

Reunitied with his OC last year so it all comes down to chemistry with Darnold. I think Elijah Arroyo becoming a thing has just been killed, but Shaheed is a more polished version of Horton. JSN likely unaffected bc what shaheed may take in targets is mitigated with how much his speed will open the middle of the field.

In New Orleans: Cooks may be a sneaky pickup as he was ticking up in routes and now he seems to have the #2 job for what that is worth.

AD Mitchell to the Jets: AD is a solid player with an ability to get open. Can the Jets QBs find him is another question. He may be worth a flier in a week or two, but he may be more of a 2026 sleeper than anything else. Nothing changes on the Colts except their D is better so J Taylor may get to eat more.

Good point on Cooks. He was going to be my cut in an FFPC terminator league this week, but I'm thinking I may turn elsewhere on second thought.

Agree with all of your other points. The move to acquire Shaheed obviously helps SEA as a whole. Not sure it hurts anyone drastically, other than it may be an indication that they're concerned about Kupp's ability to stay healthy. Horton will remain the WR3 (maybe a flex play in deep leagues), and JSN will still get his. I think Shaheed's targets may go down a bit from what he was getting in NOS (he was the 1A option in NOS by default, and they were playing from behind more often than not), but his big play ability will likely improve with the better QB/offense. Possibly a wash in overall fantasy points, depending on scoring/format.

I also think that should something (GOD FORBID) happen to JSN Shaheed would basically fall right into that role. With Seattle likely in the "Championship" conversation having another speedster who knows the system is a solid get.

Last week, Jim Miller pointed out that the Texans are loaded at WR and you'll see the AFC South add CBs in the next draft if not sooner.

Colts got Sauce today

I think it's a fair statement and good prediction. I've liked their depth WRs for years now but Metchie and Hutchinson and some of em never really do anything.

The Texans need to learn how to use their depth. Some Sundays it seems wasteful as they get next to nothing out of it.

They need OL and that's glaring.
The shine wore off Stroud some. I can't seem to trade for him. I think he's about to be well setup to regain and have continued success- or they'll be stupid like non winning franchises do.

Shaheed isn't in the same galaxy as JSN and their is no way the Seahawks would revolve their offense around Shaheed is JSN went down.

Jets offense players could potentially get a bump as well due to game script (ala Bengals, Cowboys defense woes leading to high score games)
