$25 DRAFT BEST BALL 3.5 Milly Tourney (and its $5 little brother tourney) (1 Viewer)

1 slot:

QB: A. Rodgers (7.1), M. Mariota (14.12)

RB: C. McCaffrey (1.1), C. Carson (4.12), S. Michel (5.1), D. Guice (6.12), D. Henderson (8.12), D. Harris (10.12)

WR: A. Brown (2.12), K. Coutee (9.1), G. Tate (11.1), K. Stills (12.12), M. Hardman (13.1), J. Gordon (15.1), M. Brown (16.12), D. Inman (17.1)

TE: G. Kittle (3.1), C. Brate (18.12)

QB: S. Darnold (14.12), M. Stafford (17.1)

RB: C. McCaffrey (1.1), M. Ingram (4.12), D. Guice (6.12), T. Cohen (7.1), D. Henderson (9.1), D. Harris (12.12), M. Davis (18.12)

WR: A. Brown (2.12), R. Woods (5.1), M. Jones (8.12), T. Williams (10.12), K. Coutee (11.1), G. Tate (13.1), M. Goodwin (16.12)

TE: Z. Ertz (3.1), J. Graham (15.1)

I think this is a well rounded team.  During the draft it seemed light at WR3, but honestly M. Jones at WR3 should be solid.  My RBs are very good.  My. TE one of the top few.  QBs may be a weakness here.

2 slot:

QB: B. Roethlisberger (11.2), S. Darnold (14.11)

RB: C. McCaffrey (1.2), S. Michel (4.11), T. Cohen (6.11), D. Guice (7.2), J. Samuels (8.11), T. Pollard (12.11), D. Foreman (16.11)

WR: A. Brown (2.11), C. Kupp (5.2), K. Coutee (9.2), T. Williams (10.11), K. Stills (13.2), M. Goodwin (15.2), T. Ginn (18.11)

TE: Z. Ertz (3.2), C. Brate (17.2)

Got auto drafted Foreman while eating a quick dinner.

starting to target Melvin Gordon in the 3rd a little more

QB: Jared Goff, Josh Allen

RB: Melvin Gordon, Aaron Jones, Justice Hill, Tony Pollard, Ty Johnson

WR: Davante Adams, DJ Moore, Tyler Boyd, Sammy Watkins, Marvin Jones, DeSean Jackson, Golden Tate, Deebo Samuel, Preston Williams

TE: Travis Kelce, Jack Doyle
I haven’t seen anything productive out of gordon and the chargers yet, any reason your jumping on him?

Only issues I see with this draft is not enough RB depth, especially with the looming holdout from Gordon. Jones is your only starter (who I like a lot) possibly pollard unless/until zeke comes back.

I like your WRs, just feels like 1-2 too many that I would have put towards rb.

Like the qb and te combos a lot

There have been some tidbits of them wanting to get Gordon a deal - but it is obviously very risky. I just had zero teams with grabbing Gordon in the 3rd so wanted to try that out. It might be more likely that Gordon gets a deal and Elliott doesn't.

Yeah I didn't realize I had 9 WRs lol.

12 slot.

QB: P. Rivers (11.12), A. Dalton (15.12)

RB: D. Montgomer (4.1), P. Lindsay (6.1), D. Guice (7.12), K. Drake (8.1), D. Harris (9.12), J. Hill (12.1), A. Peterson (13.12)

WR: J. Jones (1.12), M. Thomas (2.1), TY Hilton (3.12), AJ Green (5.12), K. Coutee (10.1), M. Goodwin (16.1)

TE: D. Goedert (14.1), J. James (17.12), C. Brate (18.1)

5 slot.

QB: S. Darnold (14.8), M. Stafford (15.5), A. Dalton (16.8)

RB: T. Cohen (6.8), D. Guice (7.5), J. Samuels (9.5), L. Miller (10.8), K. Hunt (11.5). T. Pollard (12.8), A. Peterson (13.5)

WR: D. Hopkins (1.5), M. Evans (2.8), B. Cooks (4.8), AJ. Green (5.5), J. Ross (17.5), J. Kumerow (18.5)

TE: Z. Ertz (3.5), E. Ebron (8.8)

I went with 3 QBs because I think this is my main area of weakness.  I would normally take 2.  My RBs seem solid enough.  My WRs are good.  My TEs are studly.

10 slot.

QB: P. Mahommes (3.10), A. Dalton (16.3)

RB: T. Gurley (2.3), J. Jacobs (4.3), S. Michel (5.10), D. Harris (11.10), A. Peterson (13.10), A. Mattison (14.3),

WR: J. Jones (1.10), W. Fuller (6.3), M. Jones (7.10), T. Williams (9.10), K. Coutee (10.3), G. Tate (12.3), M. Brown (15.10), J. Kumerow (18.3)

TE: E. Ebron (8.3), G. Everett (17.10)

qbs should be solid.

RB has potential. you have the 1a/b or the true #2 RB all the way through. I like montgomerys talent to rise to the top. I fear lindsey loses touches to freeman, but should still be solid and possibly more effective. Guice is boom or bust, but i like peterson as insurance. I love hill and i like harris.

WR beast mode. Not a huge fan of goodwin, but its a late round flyer. He clicked with jimmy g initially.

te - looks like 3 #2 te's here. Goedert has a high ceiling if ertz were to get hurt and should be servicable most weeks anyways. It appears as Hockenson is taking the lead in Det so james worries me. Brate worries me too, feels like Howard is the top dog in TB. If there is an injury to any of the main guys on these respective teams, youll be in a great position for a late season push.

yeah this pretty close to perfect.  whos your WR4? hopefully djax.

going with 3 TEs and/or 3 QBs in the big tournaments is a pretty big mistake imo.
I agree on 3 QB. On TE it depends, if I get a top 3 TE I will stick to two TEs, if not I think 3 is ok.

on QB I want one of: Rodgers, Wentz, Newton, Baker, Murray, L. Jackson, or Luck but obviously that's a risk right now. I try to get a rushing QB as one of my QBs so 1 of either: Newton, Jackson, J. Allen, Trubisky, and sometimes Darnold.

i think 3 TE is not optimal at all.  i think you need every one of those late round draft picks for RB dart throws.  so in your case that last pick ian thomas is almost never ever doing anything for you.  whereas a last round pollard/mattison/edwards/etc. could potentially win your league or help in the playoffs.  youre looking for ceiling in these things, not floor.

I just disagree with you there. If I can't get a tight end like a Kelce/Kittle/Ertz with a 25%+ target share and who are on top offenses, I want to use a couple picks later on and see if I can hit the lottery b/c going against guys with a Kelce in his TE spot is freaking rough. If I don't get those top 3, guys I look for are Jared Cook or Njoku in the mid-rounds (Njoku probably not going to be 'that guy'), Ian Thomas has massive upside if Olsen's foot screws up again, Chris Herndon (Sam Darnold looks special, folks), and Will Dissly. But truth is, you probably aren't going to get a guy like Kittle like you did last year in rounds 10+.

And of course in this draft, I go against my own advice and take 2 other TE's besides Kelce, lol. This one I thought was a nice draft but is basically #### if Gordon holds out.

QB: Andrew Luck (9), Sam Darnold (13)

RB: Melvin Gordon (3), Royce Freeman (7), Rashaad Penny (8), Damien Harris (11), Tony Pollard (12)

WR: Odell Beckham (2), Chris Godwin (4), Will Fuller (5), Robby Anderson (6), Keke Coutee (10), Devin Funchess (14), Marquise Brown (15), Zay Jones (16)

TE: Travis Kelce (1), Ian Thomas (17), Hayden Hurst (18)

$25 pick 5 - This may be my new favorite so far

QB : Newton 8.8 Darnold 12.8

Happy with this combo.wanted Murray wentz or Newton out of my teir 2 QBs with this pick, the other two went right before, so Newton it was. I’m high on Darnold as a qb2 this year in his second year and a much improved offense.(on paper)

RB - Johnson 1.5 Mixon 2.8 Coleman 5.5 Miles Sanders 6.8 Edmunds 14.8 N Hines 15.7

happy here too. Johnson/Mixon should be a great 1/2 punch. Coleman I think is the lead in SF and a bit underrated. Love him as the 3. Sanders is either the 1a or 1b in a potent offense. He’s looked great so far and I like to bet on upside. Edmunds is there to backup Johnson Incase on injury and Hines was a value pick in the 15th I thought. Receiving back in a top offense.

WR - Allen 3.5 Edelman 4.8 Watkins 7.5 Moncrief 9.5 Sanders 11.5 zay jones 16.8  d. Moore 17.5

love Allen and Edelman as high end target monsters. Watkins and moncrief are the 2s in high pass attempt teams. Sanders should have a solid floor. Jones and Moore are flyer picks with starter playing time potential.

TE - njoku 10.8 Goedart 13.5 Swaim 18.8

my least favorite of any position, I kept getting sniped on my targeted TEs, but I still like it. Mostly because of the value of where I got njoku and goedart. Went with 3 because I don’t view any as a true 1 TE.  Njoku and Goedart are high end te2s in my book, in offenses with lots of other good options but they will be on the field a lot.  I like both to put up te1 games, just not every week. God forbid Ertz gets hurt, but we all know injuries happen,  Goedarts ceiling in that unfortunate scenario is massive.  Swaim is the 1 te for an offense with questions at wr and a shaky line. Quick pass city? Possibly, I dunno. Just a Total flyer who will be on the field a lot, wanted a third te for this roster build, I like his floor/ceiling if Foles needs to lean on the te and I still somewhat get to cheer for Foles now.

thoughts? Critiques?

QBs are solid

RBs are good as well.  I would be happy with DJ falling to 1.5.  Mixon at 2.8 is good value. I hope he can keep up what he did last year.  Coleman is a nice piece.  Sanders was taken early IMO.  I like Edmunds.  Don't really think Hines is capable of a week over 18 so don't like him in best ball.

WRs I am a little concerned with KA knee and ankle problems.  Edelman is solid in the 4th.  I hate Watkins, but in best ball I should probably ease up on that view as he has high ceiling potential.  Moncrief is solid.  I don't like Sanders at all.  Say and Moore are solid late round picks.

TEs I have been grabbing Goedert lately in the 13th/14th and like the pairing with Njoku.  Swaim seems like wasted pick to me, but if you like him in round 18 I am not sure there is a "bad" pick.

So all in all WR position scares me since you have to start 3.

Thank you for the input! Miles Sanders was a bit of a jump at the end of the 6th, but there was a run on RB's and for my #4, his potential to be the lead or 1A in that offense by midseason is why I drafted him. "would have been gone by my next pick if I didn't take him here btw" I would have much rather preferred him in the 7th or 8th round, but that wasn't happening in this draft. RBS went hard and heavy this draft, thats why I felt like I found such good value at the other positions.

I'm less worried about Allen tbh. He hasn't missed a game in the last 2 years and although he may be more than "sore" I don't think its much to worry about and I don't expect him to miss any time once the season starts (sidenote, i don't love starting the season with a potential for further injury, so I'm hoping its nothing) Sanders was a solid WR2 "floor" pick. Im pretty high on him honestly. Flacco loves his vets, sanders looks to be fully recovered and is entrenched as the #1 WR in Denver.

No 18th round pick is a "bad" pick honestly. Its a pure dart throw. TE just looked to me like the place I may need a game from a "flyer", so thats the route I went. I got sniped all draft on TE's, early and then late. Swaim was like the 4th "late round TE" I wanted as my third. If he was gone, I dunno what I would have done. Probably another RB or WR? I dunno.

I am happy with the floor and ceiling combination of this draft and the late season potential.

1.7 slot.

QB: J. Winston (10.6), A. Dalton (16.6)

RB: D. Cook (2.6), L. Fournette (3.7), T. Cohen (6.6), D. Guice (7.7), D. Harris (9.7), K. Hunt (12.6)

WR: D. Adams (1.7), B. Cooks (4.6), C. Ridley (5.7), M. Jones (8.6), K. Coutee (11.7), G. Tate (13.7), P. Williams (18.7)

TE: D. Goedert (14.6), T. Eifert (15.7), C. Brate (17.6)

QB: solid. Winston should be throwing a lot this year and Dalton is good backup.

RB: solid. Cooke and Fournette are injury prone.  Cohen's role hopefully stays the same.  Guice and Harris are upside swings. Hunt hopefully can help in second half of season.

WR: solid. Adams could be the WR1.  Cooks is great #2.  Ridley is awesome #3.  Jones is great depth.  Coutee upside flyer.  Tate is great 5.  P. Williams is upside pick who could give me 0 points as well.

TE: weakness.  Goedert is backup and Eifert is always hurt.  Brate is number 2 in offense, but hopefully high flying offense.

1.5 slot.

QB: B. Roethlisberger (11.5), A. Dalton (15.5)

RB: D. Johnson (1.5), J. Mixon (2.8), D. Guice (7.5), D. Henderson (8.8), J. Samuels (9.5), D. Harris (12.8), A. Mattison (14.8)

WR: TY Hilton (3.5), J. Edelman (4.8), C. Kupp (5.5), A. Green (6.8), T. Williams (10.8), G. Tate (13.5)

TE: G. Everett (16.8), B. Watson (17.5), C. Brate (18.8)

QB: I like it.  Hopefully Big Ben doesn't miss AB too much.  Dalton solid backup.

RB: First two are nice.  Guice/Henderson/Samuels/Harris/Mattison all have lots of upside.  Harris and Mattison probably have decent floor too.

WR: I love my first 3.  Green's foot could linger, but I hope not.  Williams is solid in 10th and Tate is solid in 13th. I hope his concussion isn't too serious.

TE: very weak. Let's hope I struck gold from my lottery picks.

WR: Odell Beckham (1), Keenan Allen (3), Curtis Samuel (7), Sammy Watkins (8), Courtland Sutton (10), Anthony Miller (12), Deebo Samuel (15),

TE: G. Kittle (3.2), G. Everett (17.2)

I like this team.  WR gets shallow quick. QB heavy.  TE seems set.  RB seems pretty good top 3 and some back end upside.

6 slot.

QB: D. Watson (6.6), E. Manning (18.7)

TE: E. Ebron (8.4), J. Doyle (15.9), G. Everett (17.9)

QB: Questionable at best

RB: Mack should be a beast.  Guice if injury free should rock n roll. Backups and some upside here.

WRs: best mode on all points.  I don't think I could draft a better 7 unless I went 7 straight to start.

TE: I love Ebron.  most are down on him.  Doyle great back up. Due to getting Ebron and Doyle it made me go 3 deep at TE.

i think this is very good.  please stop taking a 3rd TE if you already have kelce.  there was no 18th rd RB that you could have picked at all??

your QB strat is interesting.  it seems to vary between 'waste too many early picks' and 'wait too long to get a decent backup'  :P

i think the middle one is my favorite.  but man, had you just taken like carr or darnold in the 16th instead of eli id like it so much more.

also i love your strategy of taking a stand on guice.  keep grabbing him in the 7th in all of these that you do.  if youre right, you have potentially a top10 RB on all your teams and put yourself in a great position to have a shot at the big prize money.  this is the type of strategy adjustment i think you need in this contest to fully maximize your chance at hitting a big prize.

Thank you for your opinion.  I really have a ranking list and try to take who falls to me.  Guice I must have earlier than 50% of the rest of the people so I am happy taking him where I do.  QB I have never been concerned with, but sometimes QBs fall to far in my rankings.

3 slot.

QB: B. Roethlisberger (11.3), A. Dalton (16.10)

RB: S. Barkley (1.3), D. Williams (2.10), M. Ingram (4.10), D. Henderson (9.3), D. Harris (12.10), M. Davis (17.3), A. Morris (18.10)

WR: C. Kupp (5.3), W. Fuller (6.10), S. Watkins (7.3), M. Jones (8.10), T. Williams (10.10), G. Tate (13.3), M. Brown (15.3)

TE: G. Kittle (3.3), T. Eifert (14.10)

I like my QB position.

RBs are very solid.

WRs are pretty thin starting 3.  I would normally like Kupp as WR2 or WR3.  Fuller seems like good best ball player, but not consistent.  Watkins can't be trusted, but maybe he gives me a couple solid weeks.  The rest of the players are all solid WRs that I love drafting late.

TE position is solid

2 slot.

QB: A. Luck (8.11), L. Jackson (10.11)

RB: S. Barkley (1.2), S. Michel (4.11), D. Guice (7.2), K. Hunt (11.2), A. Mattison (13.2), M. Brown (17.2), J. Williams (18.11)

WR: A. Brown (2.11), A. Theilen (3.2), C. Kupp (5.2), T. Williams (9.2), G. Tate (12.10), K. Stills (14.2), M. Goodwin (16.11)

TE: E. Engram (6.11), J. Doyle (14.11)

QBs I went earlier than I normal go, but with Luck's calf I wanted another high upside QB

RBs I like my first 3 pretty well and after that it will take an injury to see any major producers in Hunt/Mattison/Brown/Williams

WRs very nice group here.  My first 3 are studs.  The rest are players I love taking in those rounds (Williams/Tate/Stills/Goodwin)

TE: Engram fell too far so I scooped him up and wanted a solid backup with Doyle.

fan of this one

9 slot.

$25 10 slot.

QB - Wentz (8.3), Darnold (14.3)

RB - Mack (3.10) Jacobs (4.3) Ekelar (6.3) Cohen (7.10) Harris (12.3) Mattison (13.10) J Williams (17.10)

WR - Adams (1.10) Hill (2.3) Sanders (9.10) Fitzgerald (10.3) A Miller (11.10) Deebo Samuel (15.10) Agholor (18.3)

TE - Engram (5.10) Eifert (16.3)

I'm digging this lineup too!  Love the mix of high ceiling and high floor at all positions.

Its risky only going with 2 QB and 2 TE (especially the injury prone eifert) but I like both combos a lot if they stay healthy. I just can't imagine a team winning this with 3 qbs and/or 3 TE's(I am much more prone to go 3 QB or 3 TE in the regular season long drafts) I draft to win my initial 12 man league in the big tourney and try to backload each team with players I think will have strong second halves of the season.  At that point, all I can do is pray my teams don't get decimated with injuries.

The "Set Best Ball Rankings" page on DRAFT sucks ###.  Is there a way to upload a list of players?  Or is the only way to manipulate your draft rankings using that stupidly designed page.

yeah this is pretty much perfectly drafted.  exactly how you should try to win the big money.

I just did a $1 draft. Thank God that's all I did. That site SUCK! It literally had me pick Pat Mahomes with the 2nd pick in the draft. I think the site was messed up from the beginning. I was thinking about jump into the 3.5 million Draft but I don't like the dynamics of the site. Have fun everyone.

How many player draft?  Those are usually just 1 week drafts.

The smaller player drafts taking a QB earlier isn't so bad.

I was a small Draft (like 5 teams or something) and it was late so perhaps I wasn't paying attention the way I should have. I might give it another try

For the weekly drafts, the draft list is sorted on total expected points. Honestly surprised Mahomes made it to pick 2.

How's everyone doing a third of the way through regular season? Running 18% winners in the milly, can't complain.

Did 2 $5 drafts

One is in 3rd but injuries are mounting- Djax,M Williams,Gallup and now Adams.

Drafted Gordon on this team so have him finally.

The other team I actually liked much better but it's in 5th. Thought I'd be good at WR with Hopkins,Ju Ju and MVS but none of them even counted for me this week and have disappointed. Down to only Burton at TE after losing Henry and Hock and have also been missing D Williams at RB.

Top 3 in 7 out of 13 entries in the $25

#1 in 4 of them.

Its still sooo early though. The injury bug can be a real team killer.

6 weeks goes by so fast, halfway through the tournaments already. Bye weeks will become a major issue here on out. Probably owe the slight jumps to TE with Henry's return and Hooper's big day.

Week 6
Milly - 22% (+2)
Mini1 - 25% (+3)
Mini2 - 20% (+2)
Wk5C - 15% (+3)

Very happy with results so far..

(4/6) Top 3 in Milly (1 #1 team which I am really happy with posted below)
(4/7) Top 3 in Mini (2 #1)

Top team (1019 points after week 7 - still have Michel minus 6.6)

Dalton (used 6 weeks), Darnold (1), Newton (0) - Weak if Newton is not back

Maccafrey (5), Cook (7), Michel (3/4), Howard (3/4), Lewis (0), Lamar Miller (out)

Hilton (3), Godwin (5), Boyd (3), Corey Davis (3), Metcalf (5), Emmanuel Sanders (4)

Waller (3.5), Graham (2.5), Witten (2)

Let me know your thoughts and post your best teams

Wild ride of a week with top performers on bye and lots of mid range filler injured or terrible.

Week 7
Milly - 21% (-1)
Mini1 - 32% (+7)
Mini2 - 28% (+8)
Wk5C - 12% (-3)

My top scoring Milly team has 1074.02 points.

Prescott, Garoppolo
CMC, Fournette, Samuels, Edmonds, Hines, Montgomery
K Allen, Cupp, A Robinson, Lockett, Fuller, Ginn, Cobb, Gabriel
Hooper, McDonald

Mini1 reflects how overweight I am on Lamar and Ingram in that one, but held up pretty well overall. Hoping Connor doesn't miss much time.

Week 8
Milly - 23% (+2)
Mini1 - 26% (-6)
Mini2 - 31% (+3)
Wk5C - 17% (+5)

Through Mega Bye Week #1 unscathed.

Week 9
Milly - 28% (+5)
Mini1 - 26% (0)
Mini2 - 30% (-1)
Wk5C - 17% (0)

Holding ok, but things are getting dicey, especially with both Hooper and Freeman getting injured. :yucky: Got some issues with Tate/Wilson/Lockett/D Henry on bye.

Week 10
Milly - 26% (-2)
Mini1 - 26% (0)
Mini2 - 31% (+1)
Wk5C - 17% (0)

Last week and seem to have weathered the worst of the storm. Heavy on Vikings, but pretty light on the other 3 teams on bye this week. Hoping I can pick up an extra victory or 2 at each level. My concern is at TE where Rudolph and Henry have been getting things done the past two weeks.

Week 11
Milly - 26% (0)
Mini1 - 28% (+2)
Mini2 - 28% (-3)
Wk5C - 15% (-2)
