2nd pick no keeper, or 6th pick and Watson for free in a 10 man (1 Viewer)

1/2 ppr 10 man

Other keepers already gone are conner, woods, kerryon, Edelman, Cohen.

If I take 6th pick and Watson, I could go for DJ, Gurley or take a shot on zeke... But then I'm pretty much guaranteed juju, beckham or hill.  And then I don't have to make any qb moves any time soon.

Or I take Kamara, Id have no keeper in my pocket, and I'd be lookin at AB, Allen or thielen for pick 2 if I wanted a wr.

Which scenario would you prefer? Thanks

It's the difference between drafting second or sixth.  Forget Watson.  He's not a first round pick especially in a ten team league.  Sure he'd be great to have on your team, but if you can get Barkley, McCaffrey, or Kamara this year I think you have to.  Frankly I'd rather have any of those three and Matt Ryan than have Deshaun Watson and whoever you get with the sixth.  Especially if you are talking about Gurley or Zeke.  We don't even know if Zeke is going to play and nobody is expecting a lot out of Gurley this year.

But see I feel the Gurley negatives are overblown a bit, personally.

The deal with Watson is simply that in the draft I can totally ignore a qb pick. Taking Matt Ryan in 7th or 8th saves me that pick.

The other angle is that the elite tier wrs will be gone with taking 2nd pick. I don't want AB, so my wr1 is looking like thielen or Allen, I like thielen alot but I don't know how I feel with him as my wr 1.

Watson would instantly be in my lineup after the draft, I wouldn't lose a first round pick or anything.

Let me see if I understand your situation:

You are trading 1.02 for 1.06 and Watson?

or

Are you trading the 2nd draft pick slot in a snake draft for the 6th draft pick slot and Watson?

I think I do the second one but probably not the first one.  In the second one it is like you are picking a different card out of the deck and getting Watson for free.  The other one it isn't worth dropping the four spots for Watson in a ten team league since you still have the latest 2nd round pick etc...

I'll try to explain this best I can. We get 1 keeper from previous year and that rank of keeper dictates our draft order.

It's a 10 man league, snake draft. The person who has conner as a keeper gets conner, but will be at spot 10.

So other players got their spots locked down.

If I keep Watson, it dictates that I'll be the 6th pick. But he's free,  I don't have to draft a qb. Plus I'll have a better 2nd round pick being closer to the wrap.

Now my other option is I take no keeper, none... That'll dictate that I'm 2nd pick.  Which I love Kamara or McCaffrey, but what I don't like how my 2nd round pick looks plus I don't even have a keeper to pad my team a little.

With Watson I pick 6th and let's say I get David Johnson, I could then hope for the last of the really high end wrs like beckham, juju or even hill possibly. Which then my team by end of round 2 is DJ, juju and Watson.

If I go Kamara, when it comes back if I wanted a wr it's most likely AB, thielen or Allen. I hate AB so that's out. And I have no keeper compared to other teams with an free player.

That's my sitch.

So it is equivalent to my second scenario which I would go ahead and keep Watson and pick from the 6th draft slot.  However, now thinking a bit more I may scrap that because I actually hate picking from the middle spots.  Unfortunately I may bite the bullet because there is no real benefit from keeping nobody other than picking on the end.  I may keep Watson and see about trading draft slots with the guy in the 9 or 10 spot.

The thing Is I'm ok with picking 6th, my only major concern is landing that solid first pick. I'm ok and confident from there after that I could put a great team together, it's that first pick I want to nail.

Kamara is so tempting tho, I just struggle with my wr 1 being thielen if I take 2nd overall.

Plus I don't feel you reach as hard when In the middle either

One or two more opinions would be so appreciated, I got about an hour before I gotta lock my choice in. Thanks in advance
