i had the same problem but was able to fix it using the following steps.-logout and restart in Safe Mode with Networking.
-open Internet Explorer and click on Tools, then Internet Options, then Connections, then click on the Lan Settings button. If "use a proxy server" box is checked, then UNCHECK IT. save and exit.
-download and run RLKILL choose the IE version. Run it.
- Download Malwarebytes Anti Malware. Update it and run a full system scan. quarantine and kill all files it finds.
-download the proper HOSTS file for your version of Windows, delete the one on your system (locacted at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\HOSTS ) then replace it with the proper version you downloaded. Versions available here:http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/misc/host-files/windows-7/hosts
now reboot your computer and logon to FBG forums, you should be able to see the 3 digit forum again
