i think the first numbers available to the public when board opened were around 150 or 200. FBG's reserved the first couple hundred member numbers for staff and a few in drawings or something.

Same. And the date I signed up was my anniversary with my then-girlfriend. Must have been an exceptionally romantic one...

Curious where FBG's started the public sign ups. did you get that number from regular sign up?

Not sure if they started public sign ups at 150 or 200.
I think it was started at 150--they gave us the notice to transition over from old yeller and April 14th, 2003 was born. The idea was to reserve some low numbers under 150 to award people these numbers via contests and such.

I wish I would've found this place back in 2003. I imagine 10 years ago all the threads were about partying and chasing women. Now it is nothing but threads about politics, cancer, vasectomies, and weather. Outside of the political threads I really enjoy this corner of the internet though. Lots of wisdom and a little bit of comedy.

Only 13? Wuss.

As some of us had actual lives way back then, it's the early four digit crowd. Some people had better things to do than wait around to re-sign up on the innernets.

I think it was '99, but maybe double aught for me here, at least to begin actually posting. Between yellow, blue, cheatsheets.net it's over a decade and a half... on this stupid forum.

And yes, we were MUCH more fun back then, no question. Also had less to keep us busy. Like no Netflix, iPhones, iPods or dooshy Patriots fans because none of them were fans yet and were complaining like 8 year olds about the Sox, who will never win, ever.

There was a much crazier world of i-pron and associated chat room wild west though, so the turn of the century had that going for it.

eta: Seems I joined FFToday in '01 - but not sure if there was anything before that on a different board there (like the join date here) or that's when I began this journey of enlightenment and self discovery.

.
I guess it has been longer than 13, I wasn't counting my time on Old Yeller, though I think I probably didn't start there until 2002.

Doesn't count if you buy it.

I'm a three digiter over at FFToday and Mod at The Huddle Forums though.
96 at the Huddle. I don't remember you over there unless you had a different name.
Totally ####### around - although I was on the forums at some point, but not close to a Mod. And no idea my digit number on FFToday in case someone is notebooking.

In. 3+ POTUS terms. Barely survived the run up to GWII.

Actually? All I did was survive. Post count went to #### after that cluster ####...
