3 Good Reasons to own an AR-15 (1 Viewer)

I honestly can't imagine the stupidity and risk someone takes in breaking into a home these days. You're probably better off trying to rob a bank.

Why was she charged with murder if her comrades were killed?
A good number of states are now saying that if you're in kahoots with someone willingly committing a crime like this, you're also responsible for the outcome. This guy was killed, thus she's complicit in his death.

So a shotgun wouldn't have worked here? Maybe a rottweiler or two?

Maybe dynamite would have done the job too.

I bet 51% of people in FL own guns.  It's a coin flip breaking in.  Then again, according to Uncle Joey, the guys with NRA stickers on the cars are the ones with valuable guns.

These aren't sophisticated criminals...these are kids with brass knuckles.  I'm not sure much thought goes into the process...

Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.

Nothing to see here... maybe eventually idiots will figure out that you're taking your life into your own hands when you break into someone's home.

That's what I'm talking about. Found guilty and executed within minutes.   And they are charging the driver with the 'murders'. AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Has to be at least 50-50 in todays age that any homeowner has a gun in the house.  The kid took out three bad hombres.

I am in no way defending the boneheads that wanted to rob the house but that's crazy.  I REALLY hate whats parts of this country have turned into.

If he had a shotgun instead of the AR15 he probably wouldn't have gotten the one in the driveway. Surprised he didn't get the driver too as she was speeding away. Amateur.

Shooting a fleeing person is a big no-no. I assume he was shot inside the house and he bled out and collapsed while running away.

Unfortunately the law makes you let them go to regroup and try to rob/rape/kill you again.

Huh? Parts of the country that defend their family from intruders? Should he have given them a "3 Mississippi head start" to get out of the house? This was textbook AFAIK.
He was probably talking about how the girl got charged with murder.  I'd be shocked if felony murder isn't the law in most States.  Even the great libprog ones.

I kinda prefer a shotgun for home defense, as you're less likely to kill your neighbors with stray bullets.   That said, #### anyone who has brass knuckles.

and by this you mean the morons breaking in?  Because I will NEVER have a problem with defending you and your family IN YOUR HOUSE with maximum firepower.   Do not hesitate.

If only there were an already existing thread that "reasons to own an AR-15" would have fit into.
I'm just surprised we get this thread title and no one comes in to post:

1) 90+ receptions a year

2) 1500-yard upside

3) #1 receiver in up and coming offense.

Guess the FFA has finally chased the sharks out of their pool...

Unless the guy is halfway down the block I doubt many juries would convict on this

Any lawyers with insight?

LOL no shtick Red. I fully admit if I were ever home invaded I'd probably scream an sh## myself before I ever managed to use it to actually defend myself. Still, I've always wanted one because they look bad### and look like fun to shoot.
They are fun. Unfortunately rounds usually cost about $0.40 each. You can blow through $12 in a 30 round magazine very quickly.

Hey, good work.  Out of the hundreds of thousands of AR-15s in this country, one of them was actually used for home defense.  Good solid batting average right there.
