I find myself in a similar situation (except in a PPR league). I'm leaning towards Best also. The fact that he was a 1st round pick even with the injury risks makes me trust him more than pre-draft. Spiller is a strong risk/reward. If at all possible though, I'm trading up to get Mathews.non ppr....Spiller or Best?Seems almost a lock that Bryant and Mathews are the top 2 picks....just depends what order.hmmmmmmTo be honest I am leaning towards Best.
In Spiller's case...what about F-Jax and Lynch?I'd take Spiller #1 in PPR, so I'd answer the question here saying Spiller over Best.Kevin Smith is hurt, not dead. May not be an everydown RB, but he's not going away anytime soon.
I think Spiller is just way better than both of those guys - he is an incredible talent. That said, Best is right up there - will be fun to track their progress. In Spiller's case...what about F-Jax and Lynch?I'd take Spiller #1 in PPR, so I'd answer the question here saying Spiller over Best.Kevin Smith is hurt, not dead. Lynch is a goner. He'll get cut or dealt for a late round future pick.Jackson should have a sizable role in 2010. CJ get more carries as the season goes on & catch a boatload of passes.2010: Matthews-Beyond: SpillerFWIW I compare Spiller to Clinton Portis & Matthews to Ryan Grant. In Spiller's case...what about F-Jax and Lynch?I'd take Spiller #1 in PPR, so I'd answer the question here saying Spiller over Best.Kevin Smith is hurt, not dead. Interesting I see Mathews being a lock at #1 but I don't see Bryant being a lock at #2 in non-PPR. It really depends on your team needs and I really don't know if Bryant contributes much in his first year with the WR in front of him in Dallas.Garts said:non ppr....Spiller or Best?Seems almost a lock that Bryant and Mathews are the top 2 picks....just depends what order.hmmmmmmTo be honest I am leaning towards Best.
What did you think when Minnesota drafted Randy Moss?Interesting I see Mathews being a lock at #1 but I don't see Bryant being a lock at #2 in non-PPR. 2010: Matthews

FWIW I compare Spiller to Clinton Portis & Matthews to Ryan Grant.
I wasn't playing fantasy football at the time. I hope I would have know at the time that Moss ability blows away Bryants in every catagory. I do know that I took Calvin over Lynch in non ppr rookie drafts but I did not take Crabtree over the first 3 RBs last year. I guess I am putting Bryant in the Crabtree catagory. I actually would like to see what Thomas could of done with a real QB at GT instead of a 45% passer. To bad he got drafted by Denver. What did you think when Minnesota drafted Randy Moss?Interesting I see Mathews being a lock at #1 but I don't see Bryant being a lock at #2 in non-PPR. The bigger question should be, I wonder what Thomas could have done had he learned how to run routes instead of just streaking down field for the jump ball?I actually would like to see what Thomas could of done with a real QB at GT instead of a 45% passer. To bad he got drafted by Denver.
That's pretty much what the GT offense was. Triple option or throw it deep. The bigger question should be, I wonder what Thomas could have done had he learned how to run routes instead of just streaking down field for the jump ball?I actually would like to see what Thomas could of done with a real QB at GT instead of a 45% passer. If you like Chris Johonson I would take BEST, he is the same sort of player. Remember CJ was a late first round dynasty pick in most rookie drafts a few years ago because of size etc.. BEST could actually be be best rookie by the end of the year, Detroit has some weapons.. As long as Marshawn Lynch is will the Bills I would rate Spiller last out of the 4.That's pretty much what the GT offense was.
