Most of this sounds like
And read the date on coins laying heads up on the ground.Satellites can count the hairs on your head.
And that is why I shave my head...up yours, Xi Jinping! You'll get nothing out of me!Satellites can count the hairs on your head.
To see our reaction, to simply do it and see how long it lasts, to poke the bear, to test the technology. Lots of reasons why, none of them any good. Then why are they doing it? If there’s no benefit, they wouldn’t be doing it.
Isn't that what the tin foil hats are supposed to stop?Satellites can count the hairs on your head.
Shark move: Part of the Chinese balloon set-up is already at a facility being analyzed. The photos we're seeing in the media are of a look-alike attached to the Chinese balloon's transponder and placed by the U.S.Theyre clearing not shooting it down because they want to preserve the technology for themselves
I think you're giving the US officials far more credit than they deserve. It's probably much more basic whh they didn't shoot it down. Still no good reasons. To see our reaction, to simply do it and see how long it lasts, to poke the bear, to test the technology. Lots of reasons why, none of them any good. Then why are they doing it? If there’s no benefit, they wouldn’t be doing it.
I agree about the BS story about not shooting it down. There's like 27 people in Montana, they'll be ok. US might also want to see where this goes too. I'm sure there is some reverse tech going on to track back where it came from, what data it is sending and to whom.
Thankfully I shave my head.Satellites can count the hairs on your head.
Or because we put it up there and are now blaming the Chinese just for the hell of it.Theyre clearing not shooting it down because they want to preserve the technology for themselves
Theyre clearing not shooting it down because they want to preserve the technology for themselves
China has confirmed it is theirs. Anthony Blinken cancelled his trip to China because of it.Theyre clearing not shooting it down because they want to preserve the technology for themselves
Do we really think we can't surveil citizens of foreign countries with balloons or drones? I mean, I have no doubts they want to take a look at it but on face value this seems like it could just be a hoax or some nerds playing around.
Confident it was launched from China? I'm notMost concerning here is the fact that, presumably, a 3 bus sized item managed to traverse Canadian and US airspace without being picked up by our defense systems.
There's a chance we knew all along and waited until now to play "Oops, where did that come from", of course.... but my guess is that is not the case.

Capture the balloon (Seriously a balloon) get all the info off it, see what it was, etc. Deflate it. Send back to China.
If you've ever looked into Japan's Unit 731, you'd see they did exactly that. Dropping plague infested fleas and other diseases on Chinese cities. We should have shot it down a long time ago. Every minute we don't is just another moment we look weak. The time to take it out is when it is over low populated areas.
The only thing I could think of that they are worried about (and not to get allhere) is what could the balloon be carrying. What about a virus or some disease? I mean it sounds like the basis for some Mission Impossible movie, but anything is possible. If we want to believe this is just one that got away from them, you know other groups that mean America harm are watching and gauging our reaction to it. Weather balloons are extremely cheap to buy--think like $159.00. Now one that cheap has half the altitude capability of the Chinese one, but you can readily bigger ones on-line.
You want no part of the Juggalos. Give them a wide berth. Now they are saying there may be a fleet of them over the US.
No wonder no one wants to shoot them down
The Chinese don't take a dump without a plan, son...Perhaps this is a new doomsday style balloon and a rouge Chinese balloon captain is defecting with this dangerous tech In efforts to head off the spiraling problems it presents to the delicate balance of power.
We just need a buckaroo CIW analyst to unwrap the motives and get the word to the top before all hell breaks loose.
Seriously, I assume this has happened before, and the only reason why we know about it today is because people happened to see the balloon up in the sky. We obviously spy on China, so it's not as if this is uniquely aggressive or anything. Most concerning here is the fact that, presumably, a 3 bus sized item managed to traverse Canadian and US airspace without being picked up by our defense systems.

Better than talking about practice, I guess.MG, you've got to be f-cking kidding me with this. What are we talking about? A balloon, we talkin' bout a balloon? Balloon? Balloon!?!?. . . not a missile, not a plane, not a satellite, we talkin' 'bout a balloon?
I've been telling you people for years that the Space Force needs to develop a fleet of anti-balloon interceptors. Obviously these interceptors would themselves rely on balloon or balloon-like technology, but that goes without saying. It brings me no joy to say I told you so.The problem is it is flying at such a high altitude, we can't simply just go up with a helicopter and grab it. This thing is flying higher than commercial aircraft fly--like 66,000 feet or so,
Fun fact I learned this week: the original Space Force flag was actually hand made in a high security military facility.I've been telling you people for years that the Space Force needs to develop a fleet of anti-balloon interceptors. ...don't forget the nanobots from the COVID vaccines.Maybe they're about to activate all the 5G microchips![]()
Well Alec Baldwin is a little busy fending off charges, so maybe John Krasinsky can step in.Perhaps this is a new doomsday style balloon and a rouge Chinese balloon captain is defecting with this dangerous tech In efforts to head off the spiraling problems it presents to the delicate balance of power.

Send this guy up IMOThe problem is it is flying at such a high altitude, we can't simply just go up with a helicopter and grab it. This thing is flying higher than commercial aircraft fly--like 66,000 feet or so,

First they put pee-pee in our Coke. And now this.
They grow up so fastAny comment from Balloon Boy yet?
Definitely saw it long before nowMost concerning here is the fact that, presumably, a 3 bus sized item managed to traverse Canadian and US airspace without being picked up by our defense systems.

May have seen it but not revealed we saw it until civilians went public with it
