5 backs to get now to have for the late run (1 Viewer)

in no order

Donald Brown - Every game I have seen them both play Brown just runs better - and while Addai is a much better blocker Brown is improving. Also Warren Sapp didn't name him " tap tap " for nothing as he is injured often. If Brown were to be the feature guy he could take a team to the title with an easy 20 ppg average if not better.

L. Blount - Caddy is awful and Huggins is a wafer and no more than a COP back. Sooner than later Blount is going to be getting the bulk of the carries and maybe a few passes as well. Though his value is far greater in non PPR leagues. He is a hot get right now but I think his value only goes up.

Shonn Greene - He can be had for a ball of lint right now and LT is old and while he is doing well its a matter of time before the sheels come off and if/when they do Greene is almost an automatic top non ppr back with that line and defense. Yeah you can't predict injuries but for the price Greene has the upside is immense right now. Especially even if they just decide to shut LT a little towards the end to save him for the playoffs.

Jonothan Stewart - There is still a decent chance Dwill gets shopped as they are going to lose him anyway its a dead season for carolina - if that happens Stewart is at worst a top end rb2 and maybe even a rb 1 as they sucked last year as well an stewy still won titles for people. His owners are frustrated and he can be had mega cheap.

CJ Spiller - With doing nothing so far and Jackson named starter in re draft leagues he would cost much. With Buffalo all but done it could go 2 ways either they shut Spiller down and save him for next year or shut Jackson down and see just what Spiller can do I would bet on the later as they would want to see if Spiller really can be the featured guy - if given the chance Spiller could put up very nice PPR numbers

Jamaal Charles needs to be included in that list. Soft schedule, better talent, and the fact that Jones faltered late last season should equal gold.

He is averaging 15 PPG in most PPR leagues, which I really think is his floor. Those kind of numbers are not going to be obtained cheaply or at a discounted rate.

Has there been one rumor credited to anything that resembles an NFL insider, or source, that has indicated DWill could be traded this season? I've seen this mentioned in the shark pool a number of times, and yet this rumor hasn't surfaced anywhere else that I've noticed. In fact, it seems like the Carolina local's think he's gonna be there all year, without a doubt.

I agree, on the surface, it looks good. Why not get something now, for a player you presume will be leaving after the year for nothing.... but it just doesn't seem to happen that often in the NFL.

well Carolina is pulling a millen. They will lose Williams for nothing next year rather get maybe a 2nd for him now. just dumb

I managed to nab Reggie Bush after week 3. He is a guy I would target for a big playoff run. I know there could very well be lasting repercussions from the broken leg but if he's healthy and fresh watch out.

I think Brown is a worthy stash-and-hope RB but I disagree that he has looked better than Addai thus far. I think Addai has been significantly better and he's much stronger in pass pro. Given the Colts' offense, that is a huge attribute in his favor. I think Brown has some talent but I don't think he's worth anything unless Addai gets hurt. I don't see him taking the starting job from a healthy Addai.

I'm not a NFL insider, but I don't think DeAngelo gets traded.

In TB it sounds like RBBC to me. They have 3-4 guys who all bring something a little different to the table. Someone is going to have to have a huge game to earn the majority of the carries. The OP downplays Huggins (who everyone loved as a sleeper in the preseason), but I know I've read analysis that says Blount doesn't really have the moves/speed to be a lead back. He is getting GL, so that always has some worth in fantasy.
