95% of people manage to get through their entire life without any major legal problems. However NFL possesses a unique breed of citizens who are willing to dump tens of millions of dollars down the drain just because of being some of the biggest idiots on the planet.

I give you my Top 5 Stupidest NFL Players. Feel free to comment, change, revise, or whatever, as it seems these folks are so ridiculously eager to make it to the #1 spot.

5. Ricky Williams - he looked like he could become an NFL great and he flushes it down the toilet over some weed. I don't care if you're depressed. Get a shrink and save a couple mill.

4. Chris Henry - former Bengal WR. how many arrests will it take for this guy to take a hint?

3. Pacman Jones - granted, he's cleaning up his image, supposedly, but only time will tell, and so far the dude has shown that he can't go for extended periods of time without getting himself in trouble.

2. Cedric Benson - the guy is arguably the most criticized running back in the league for his god-awful performance last year, he's at risk of losing his starting job to Matt Forte, and then within a matter of 6 weeks gets ticketed for speeding in a construction zone, arrested and pepper sprayed for being a cocky iamanidiot while boating while intoxicated, and now he runs a red light and nearly hits a pedestrian and is arrested for drunk driving. Stupid, stupid, stupid...

Whether you believe gambling is an illness or not, Schlichter was an undisputed waste of talent. With that being said, his demons took hold and wouldn't let go.

Above and beyond the financial ramifications, which are bad enough, having this much unprotected sex is just so stupid with AIDS floating around. I can see drugs getting ahold of someone, or someone getting behind the wheel after a few too many. The Chris Henry's and Pacman Jones' of the NFL (and the world) are just plain criminals, likely not that bright because they get caught way too much, but Henry is on an entirely different level re: pure stupidity for me, and has got to be in the running for "Stupidest Guy in the NFL."
