8pm - Jimmy Graham [Q] - TE, NO - expected to play (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Appearing on Sunday NFL Countdown, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed that Jimmy Graham (foot, elbow) is fully expected to play Sunday night.
Graham played on 60-of-78 snaps last Sunday and practiced every day this week. He's going to play through his questionable tag and is our No. 1 play at tight end. The Saints won't officially release their inactive list until 7pm ET, but owners can safely leave Graham in lineups.

Maybe Sean Payton just wants to show how much of a genius he is. I really can't stand him as a fantasy owner.

He looks okay but he's not even in there at the goal line.
They aren't using Graham on running plays, so they have to break tendency sometime by passing when they don't have Graham in. It looks like NO wants to outmuscle Dallas. That was their set on that red zone attack.

This is bizarre. He's in at random times but at none of the goal line packages.
It is odd, difficult how much is a flare up of the foot vs some packages they think are an advantage against Dallas. NO is really stressing the run game and the short passes to the flat. It seems like a strategic decision.

I'd love to know the Payton usage design for Graham. Mid field usage and none in the red zone. Discipline of some sort?

Dallas was game planning him as a WR. They probably went into this game with the mindset of devoting everything to stopping graham. Then all of a sudden graham isn't even on the field and everything they've been studying the last week is null and void. Mindfreak .

Right. They prep for Graham being in on 3rd down and RZ, Graham plays the totally opposite sets

I think its probably a combination of this and limiting his snaps. He has to be banged up more than last week.

Yeah, seems like a combo. Although, it can't be too bad if he is in run blocking in the 4th up 18.

Also Graham just blew up the pass rusher on that Stills TD.

He still scored 8.5 for me last night. I mean seriously, you can't EXPECT a TD or more every single game. He outscored my opponent's TE, Gonzo, which is all I can ask for. He also outscored TE's that plausibly would be starters like Vernon Davis, Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, Greg Olsen, Coby Fleener, Garret Graham, Martellus Bennett, Heath Miller. In fact the only TE's in my league that were started and outscored him were Julius and Jordan.
