This television appearance on What's My Line? is one I definitely remember:I remember seeing (Randi) show up some "psychic" phony on TV back in the early 80s ... maybe on That's Incredible or Real People? Some show like that.
Me too. I saw him when I was in college. That was a fun show.big Randi fan
That is some major cultural appropriation there. This television appearance on What's My Line? is one I definitely remember:
Randi tests James Hydrick's psychic claim (extended version) - part 1 of 2
Randi tests James Hydrick's psychic claim (extended version) - part 2 of 2
TLW -- Dude claims he can move pencils and phone-book pages with his mind. Dude does so in front of a studio audience, oohs and aahs. Randi devises a test to thwart the dude's trickery. Randi shows the assembled audience what time it is.

Randi ruled.
Wearing a mask would have been a better control, imo. Granted, "psychics" will always rationalize an excuse for why it won't work...mask blocks the flow of energy, etc.Doug B said:This television appearance on What's My Line? is one I definitely remember:

He wanted to change the conditions in the smallest way possible and without giving away the "secret".Wearing a mask would have been a better control, imo.
He still does.Mrs. Rannous said:Randi ruled.
Awwww, ####. I'm a hi-concept guy, music-wise - a guy on a stool with a guitar had to be real special to do anything for me. 'cept for Jerry Jeff, and the more of a snootful he had behind him the better. The human circus, in all & none of its glory in his recklessly careful handling. I am in his debt. RIP -D-Day said:Jerry Jeff Walker. RIP Mr. Bojangles.
Damn. Lotsa stories about that dude in Houston. A good friend of mine got punched by him in a bar fight. Not an unusual occurrence for Billy Joe from what I understand. I always joked to my buddy that he was lucky he didn't get shot.
There’s a Netflix documentary about him that was great. This television appearance on What's My Line? is one I definitely remember:

2020 is terrible. RIPMr.Sir Connery
That's the chicago waySimply the best Bond ever. I am both shaken and stirred
No big deal, GB.My apologies, I had forgotten he had earned a knighthood.
Connery: I’ll take “swords” for 200.Category: This Is The Color Of Snow
Sean Connery: What is yellow?
Buzzzzzzz!
Alex Trebek: Incorrect.
Sean Connery: Are you sure I made some yesterday. Spelled your name in a snowbank, of course....
It was in your mother's handwriting, haa haaaaaaa. She was holding the pen.
There's no "Sir Connery". It's Sir Sean or Mr Connery.Tom Servo said:Kal El said:2020 is terrible. RIPMr.Sir Connery
I see. In the interest of accuracy, let's run through this again:There's no "Sir Connery". It's Sir Sean or Mr Connery.
it's actually Sir Thomas. Sean was his middle name...I see. In the interest of accuracy, let's run through this again:
RIP Sir Sean, you were a legend.
Sir Thomas it is, the point is, I'm sorry he's gone.it's actually Sir Thomas. Sean was his middle name...
weird. i have a Norm Crosby story from when he used to play my home casino, but it doesnt reflect well on him, so not really right for obit time, tho that's the only time it could arguably be topical. RIP, funnyman -Comedian Norm Crosby, dead at 93. He was great on the old Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts.
What is a legend?
i HATE homerism, but i love this man like a father, as everyone not wearing stripes did. this hurts more than Trebek. God bless ya, big guy. RIP -
58.16 Tommy Heinsohn, Greatest NBA Coach
My whole life this guy's in my face. Player, coach, nonpareil homersexual broadcaster - cant remember a Celtic season without him and i remember 60 Celtic seasons. If anyone deserves to be an honorary Irishman, it's Twawmmy.
And i still dont know how he done it. Kareem, Walton, Lanier, Reed, Gilmore, Unseld dominating the 70s game from the center position and Heinsohn wins 2 titles with a 6'8 white guy at center, a 76yo Havlicek and a buncha role players. Then he quits when Hondo does. One of the most dadblasted things i seen in sports.
