Is Romo a better play against Detroit than Jason Campbell against NE this week?
My scenario is that I own Romo and have Cassel as my bye week fill in a standard scoring league. I like Romo but right now with the combination of his injury, the poor play of his OL, the poor route running by his receivers and playing against a formidable pass rush in the Detroit defense in week 4...I'm thinking of benching him this week.
My instinct has been to release Cassel and pick-up Jason Campbell to start against the Patriots. Now 3 weeks into the season Cassels value is definitely not worth the 11th round pick I used on him in the draft, even for a bye week fill. I like the upside Campbell has against the Patriots this week, but the Raiders run AAAALOT. Campbell, by far, is no stud, but I don't think he can do any worse than waiting for Cassel to do any better. Unless someone can convince my instincts to play Romo, I need some opinions to help me mull over this idea. Nothing makes a better decision than initial instincts but I have to ask anyways.
