A couple questions regarding MFL and it's capabilities. (1 Viewer)

Was wondering about the MFL capabilities to use our "QB rule" that was set in place. Can MFL adjust to accomodate this rule.

"if your starting QB goes down or leaves the game early and you have their backup QB rostered on YOUR bench, you get the higher of the two points. EG. Manning goes down in the 1stQ and Sorgi comes in and throws for 3 TD. If he is on your bench you get his points"

Can this rule be accomodated through the site? I looked at the online help but could not find it. You would have to override the starting QB position basically, correct? Is there a way to do it?

Also, we did an Auction Style draft, and the prices will basically not mean anything again untill next year(keep 2 for $10 more than what was paid previous year). Seeing as they have no bearing on the rest of the regular season, other than a visual reference, can you just display players auction prices on MFL and have no bearing on trades or add drops($100 blind bidding for FAs)

Just trying to help out the commish and get the site figured out before the first week starts. TIA for the help.

You can just display prices w/o having a bearing on a salary cap, I believe. There is an "info" section for rostered players where you could put that information if you don't want to involve a salary cap in the process or don't assess penalties for going over the cap during the blind bid process.

Regarding the QB scoring- have the commish contact MFL via the "Help" feature. They make things happen.

The closest thing to this would be having teams not set a lineup at all and just getting their max value, which is too much I'm sure. So you would need to have your commish go in after the fact and edit the player's starting lineup and use a button that recalculates the results with the amended lineup. So it's very possible, just won't happen automagically. There is an option in the Starting Lineup Setup to allow teams to select a configurable number of backup players. It isn't by position or anything, just a set number. And if the backup should be used the commish still has to go make the change to the lineup as mentioned above, it doesn't know what criteria are used to trigger using the backup, it just keeps track of who the team wants as the backup. Which for your league wouldn't come into play.

Just use the regular salary cap features, but under Commissioners-> Setup->Salary Cap Setup choose a Soft cap instead of a Hard cap. The rosters report will say if someone is over the soft cap but it won't stop anyone from going over it. And if seeing that message is annoying, just bump the soft cap up so no one will ever reach it.
