Yes but the Houston Rushing attack is beast this year. So if Foster goes down i want the handcuff on my bench to step right into the lineup.I drafted Foster, and grabbed Slaton in late rounds for this very reason. If it's Ward now, its a big deal.
By looking at how this game played out, I think Ward is the clear cut backup.
If you don't want to own a backup Rb, then you don't really need to reply to this thread. Many of us play in VERY deep leagues, where backups become a necessity.
Slaton did receive the first carry of the game, but Ward received the next 3. By now, we all know Houston does not view Slaton as an every down RB. If Foster, goes down, I'd fully expect Ward to carry the load on early downs with Slaton coming in on 3rd downs.
We learned more about Arian Foster today after he sat the first part of the game than we ever knew before. My gawd did he pour it on and play like a guy possessed out there. Even with the Slaton and Ward stats you should hope guys run to the WW and blow a bunch of BB money on these guys. Foster was lights out when he had the football and made the rest look like children next to him.
