a good way to remember RANKINGS are only guidelines (1 Viewer)

I think we all know " rankings " are only opinions .... the belly button of the fantasy football world ( meaning we all have one )

but a reminder to take " experts" with a grain of salt ..

I was looking at the new DYNASTY rankings on the site here

and not to BASH on JEFF P.'s rankings .. but

something that stands out ... and helps to remind me not to take too much of the info seriously .. because in all honesty .. I cant think there was much thought or time taken into the rankings ....

remember this is DYNASTY RANKINGS .....

QB-David Garrard --- ranked # 27 ..... below the likes of

QB-K.Warner - #26 ( already been told he is nothing more than the # 2 heading into camp )

QB-Jeff Garcia - #22 ( i dont know of any DYNASTY OWNER in this world who would trade Garrard for Garcia ..) .. this is the funniest one i have ever seen

QB-J.P Losman - # 23 .. who has NO JOB .. or possiblity of a starting JOB in his current situation .....

Qb-Damon Huard - # 25 -- WHAT ? calling all DYNASTY LEAGUES where owners really rank D.HUARD above D.GARRARD

I appreciate all the work the guys at FBG 's put into it .. and as was said above .. rankings are nothing more than a " guide/ opinion " .. a opinion from someone ... .. just makes me wonder how much thought and effort was put into it to begin with ... especially since we are talking DYNASTY LEAGUES .. where age / job security / staff / recent team success all are huge factors

( D.Huard / K.Warner -- all seem solid choices above the likes of D.Garrard if you take all those factors in .. ( sarcastic ) ..

once again .. no ill attitude should come from this .. just starting a discussion ... and the " expert/ mods" in here have the best jobs in this hobby and i do appreciate the effort ....

Mistakes happen, and this is one of them.

I sort over 400 guys at once covering RB/WR/QB/TE, and sometimes I make an error.

I had Garrard higher than that.

If you see a mistake, just let me (or the ranker) know and either you get a defense of that ranking or an admission of an error.

Yes: rankings are made to lead to converations; and a good portion of the analysis from even July pre-season rankings get obliterated by week 2 or week 3.

I def. am not going to be worried about any rankings from February, but they are usually interesting to read.

i was hoping it was nothing more than a mistake .. but there are alot of people who might not think it was a mistake .. and take it as fact ...

In jeff's defense hindsight is 20/20 and he was far from the only "expert" to rank garrard so low.

FTTP .. no thats not correct

I am talking about the rankings that came out TODAY .... not the pre-season rankings ( where Garrard was indeed low and rightfully so )

in the last week Garrrard was ranked by 4 other " experts" .. aroudn 12 and 13

and Jeff came in at # 27 ...

Problem solved. Good to see FBGs are watching over me. Only had that error posted for about 5 hours....but then again, I had him in the mid-20s yesterday anyway Anyhow, all offensive lists are updated (QB/RB/WR/TE and Overall) and accessible via the Dynasty tab on Page 1).
