A Great Defense By Committee (1 Viewer)

If your Defense has tanked, I suggest looking at a combo of Seattle/KC for the rest of the year if they are available. Both D's are playing well and both teams have great home field advantages due to crowd noise and the travel times required to get to their stadiums.

Here's who they have left:

WEEK Seattle KC7 ARI JAC8 @OAK BUF9 NYG @OAK10 @ARI @DEN11 @NO ARI12 KC @SEA13 CAR DEN14 @SF @SD15 ATL @STL16 @TB TEN17 STL OAK
With this combo, you're looking at playing:

Week 7 - Seattle @ home v. Arizona

Week 8 - KC @ home v. Buffalo

Week 9 - KC @ Oakland

Week 10 - Seattle @ Arizona

Week 11 - KA @ home v. Arizona

Week 12 - Seattle @ home v. KC

Week 13 - Seattle @ home v. CAR

Week 14 - Seattle @ SF

Week 15 - KC @ StL

Week 16 - Seattle @ TB

Week 17 - Seattle @ home v. StL

I wasn't thrilled with Week 16 with Seattle flying across country to face the Bucs or KC getting Tennessee @ home. So I might look for a WW Defense to fill in that week.

great stuff OP, I've been trying to look for def. pairings myself but hadn't considered KC, as they aren't available in my league. I'm thinking of playing def. by committee with Seattle/Chicago, or Seattle/Atlanta. Atlanta is leading (maybe 2nd?) in the league in interceptions. Or with Seattle and Chicago you have the KR TD possibility with Hester and Leon Washington.

nice.. thanks OP. I already picked up SEA yesterday, might look to getting KC now.

Someone did drop TEN on sunday, and I am trying to get them from waiver, if I do get them, I wonder which DEF would be better to pair with them.

Isn't Seattle's D historically far lower ranked on the road than at home :lmao: CAn somebody post the splits :lmao:
I just went back and looked at the avg ppg allowed for the last 4 years. In 2009, they gave up 16.25 ppg @ home & 32.5 ppg on the road.In 2008, they gave up 21.5 ppg @ home & 27.5 ppg on the road.In 2007, they gave up 13.87 ppg @ home & 22.5 ppg on the road.In 2006, they gave up 18.87 ppg @ home & 22.5 ppg on the road. This year they've given up 13 ppg @ home & 23.6 ppg.

The KC/SD combo recommended by FBG's prior to the season has been
It'd be interested to know how the combo has done compared to Pit if u got the numbers
Using my league's scoring, if the owner of the SD/KC picked the right D each week, he would have avg'd 14.6 ppg.Pitt has avg'd 11.8 ppg.
We've got some unusual scoring in my league, and Seattle by themselves rank #2 overall with Pitt at #3 (ppg). KC only would have been a good play week 2. I've actually been platooning Chicago and Detroit with pretty good results; it helps that Detroit is ranked #7 with their takeaways. We count high for sacks.
