I'm glad he didn't get it, but I didn't need the runs to go on the board. Last thing you need is a guy getting stretched in his second start when you see the ceiling that AJ has. 130 pitches to win the no hitter battle when you've got a long season and 80 million more after it.
Now tack on some damn runs! I'm really liking what I see out of AJ and momentum is your next days starting pitcher etc etc, but to have AJ look that good, give up the tie, have the Yanks rally and get him right back and then he returns the favor with a 1-2-3 eighth, if they win this thing, there might be some springboard to this game.
Oh yeah, cue Wang on the DL with a "mystery injury" if he has a bad start next time to give Phil Hughes a turn.
