Best site for Fantasy Baseball rankings? (1 Viewer)

Anybody have a preferred site like FBG for baseball? Got a draft this Sunday. 7-6 head to head league.

For something like 7x6, I’d use the Fangraphs Auction Calculator and input your league settings to get customized rankings. A few extra categories can really change values. Fangraphs also has rankings articles with tiers that can be helpful.

PitcherList and Razzball also have tons of good info, although on both sites you’ll encounter writers trying way too hard to be funny/clever.

I'll echo the auction calculator as a starting point. Razzball has been consistently great helping with starting pitchers, both identifying values and avoiding high priced land mines.

Not sure where to put this question, so here it goes. I did a live draft night for a free league that is 6 x 6 roto with 10 teams.

The pitching categories are:

Innings Pitched (IP), Saves (SV), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Strikeouts per Nine Innings (K/9), Quality Starts (QS)

Innings pitched is a category, yet there is a max of 1600 innings for the year. So what's the strategy?

IP is an odd category, especially since the league has a cap. How often are you able to change lineups and perform FA transactions?

Using QS vs W is an advantage for starting pitchers because relievers are shut out from QS while they can still vulture W.

Looks like no limitations on transactions and lineups are daily

That's an interesting setup. The IP limit of 1600 is pretty high and could be hard to hit unless you've got deep rosters and/or do a lot of streaming. And with 3 ratio categories out of 6, I'm not sure it's even a good idea to try to hit the limit at all costs.

Non-closing relievers are usually gold in K/9 leagues, but they get nerfed by the combination of IP, QS and SV. On the flip side, innings-eating groundballers that can carry you in IP and QS are going to be bad for your K/9.

I could be wrong but my instinct is that streaming is going to be a good strategy. With only 10 teams, there should always be some decent SP on the wire that can take advantage of easy matchups.

Went with Fangraphs. I don't know enough to know whether it is dubious, but I picked fifth and it had me go with Yordan Alvarez over De L Cruz and J-Ram which drew some jeers.

Wouldn't do that in a 5x5 but extra hitting categories weigh down the value of stolen bases. Yordan is an OPS monster and there are a lot of category combos where he could make sense that high.

Yeah this was seven hitting categories with both AVG. and OPS.
