A legit NFL Mock Draft (1 Viewer)

Let me start off by saying i dont think the Dolphins will draft Jake Long but as it stands right now they are posturing with him as the #1 overall pick. I think its going to be Gholston or Chris Long and they draft an O-Lineman or Henne at 2.1

1: DOLPHINS Jake Long: As it stands right now he is the safest pick and fills a need

2: RAMS Chris Long: They are building a sweet D-Line and DE is a need pick but Jake Long is who the desire

3: FALCONS Glen Dorsey: They believe as do i that Dorsey is one of the best players in the draft and the remaining QBs are just as good as Ryan ie: Henne, Flacco, Brohm

4: RAIDERS: Darren McFadden: I think they end up with Chris Long because my gut says the Phins dont take Jake Long and end up with Gholston which would push Chirs Long down here. And D-Mac goes to the Jets. But he is the best player available and Al Davis loves kids like him.

5: CHIEFS: Ryan Clady: This is a need pick because the O-Line sucks. They should draft Gholston however or trade down. If Jared Allen is traded then Gholston is the guy.

6: JETS: Vernon Gholston: They break the Pats hearts here. He fits the 3-4 perfectly but i still say D-Mac is a Jet.

7: PATRIOTS: Keith Rivers: Top MLB in the draft and the Pats need to rebuild their LB corp. DB could be the pick here or they trade up to get Gholston.

8: RAVENS: Matt Ryan: No brainer pick here.

9: BENGALS: Sedrick Ellis: They get a steal here and finally they get a stud DT that they've needed for years.

10: SAINTS: Leodis Mckelvin: They desire Ellis or Dorsey but they desperatly need a DB and he is the best or DRC.

11: BILLS: Devin Thomas: #1 WR in the draft and a nightmare to pair up with Lee Evans

12: BRONCOS: Branden Albert: They almost take Mendenhall but there are a ton of RBs in this draft and Albert is a need pick to protect Cutler.

13: PANTHERS: Jeff Otah: They lost Wahle and Otah is the BPA and fills a need

14: BEARS: Chris Williams: Another need pick

15: LIONS: Rashard Mendenhall: Finally they get a true stud RB.

16: CARDINALS: Dominique Rodgers Cromartie Best DB in the draft IMO and Rolle is now a safety. They almost get Stewart here but RB position is deep. Derrick Harvey is another option.

17: VIKINGS: Derrick Harvey: DE has been a need for 10 years here and they didnt trade for Allen yet. Harvey is the guy or Merling.

18: TEXANS: Jonathan Stewart: GREAT FIT HERE! Stud RB is the biggest need here and he could be the Rookie of the Year if healthy.

19: EAGLES: DeShean Jackson: This is the only WR that can help right now. He can impact the return game starting week 1. McNabb cant wait for a rookie WR to deveolp and with Thomas gone he fits the need. Manningham is the only other WR that cant impact starting today but he screwed himself at the Combine.

20: BUCS: Mike Jenkins: Barber is old and Jenkins will replace him next year and start at nickel week 1.

21: REDSKINS: Phillip Merling: DE is a huge need and he is the best on the board.

22: COWBOYS: Felix Jones: Marion Barber is talking crazy about wanting LT2 money so the Cowboys draft a future stud RB incase Barber doesnt wake up. He also fills a need

23: STEELERS: Gosder Cherilus: O-Line is a huge need and he is the best guy left.

24: TITANS: Limas Sweed: He was Vince Young's go to guy in college and also fills a need. I almost gave him to the Cowboys.

25: SEAHAWKS: Kentwan Balmer: DT is a need pick and BPA

26: JAGS: Calais Campbell: DE is a need pick on this team and BPA

27: CHARGERS: Jerrod Mayo: All of the LBs on this team keep getting suspended and Mayo could be a top 15 pick. Great steal here.

28: COWBOYS: Aqib Talib: Stud DB and there is a ton of WR depth in the 2nd round (Hardy, Manningham, Kelly, Doucet, Avery, Caldwell) Talib is a ballhawk.

29: 49ERS: Quentin Groves: STUD Hybrid DE/OLB. Pair him with Manny Lawson and there you have it. 2 monster pass rushers in your 3-4 scheme.

30: PACKERS: Antoine Cason: They need another DB because their DBs are getting older.

32: GIANTS: Kenny Phillips: They lost Gibril Wilson and safety is a concern on this team. Reggie Smith is also an option here.

Notables in 2nd round:

Chad Henne to the Phins

Brohm to the Falcons

Manningham to the Rams

Kelly to the Bengals

Hardy to the Cowboys

Ray Rice to the Bears

Jamaal Charles to the Cardinals

Edited to reflect a mistake in 2nd round

Nice spelling. None of these are cookie-cutter picks, man this has to be the first draft I've seen with Houston taking a RB.

If you are going to call your Mock Legit, then make sure you know SD DOES NOT HAVE A 2ND RD PICK. OR A 3RD, OR A 4TH, UNLESS THEY TRADE DOWN, which you do not show in your draft since you have them taking a MLB.

Well if thats the only pick you have to complain about then im satisfied. 1 mistake late in the 2nd round makes the mock a thumbs down. Thanks for your reply and have a nice day.

Chad Henne to the Phins

-its kinda a smoke screen with all the henne talks, for those that live in Miami, Parcells/Ireland like Flacco but is trying to keep it under wraps so he dosn't move to the end of the 1st rd and will be there at 2.01

Every mock in America has Cason or Flowers going to the Packers. I don't think it is going to happen.
Yeah, it's true that they need to add CBs soon, but in a draft that is deep at the position it's not true that they need to spend the first pick there, esp. when they have two 2nds.I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they don't use any of their first-day picks on CB.

I think the complaints overall, are that your picks just seem to fit needs. In fact, that seems like your comments on every pick. They don't actually analyze, it just says stuff like 'fills a need, I like him' type of stuff. You need to back up your information. When you leave the Chargers pick on there for the second round, it shows how much time you've actually spent researching this type of thing.

Take for instance, your Titans pick - Limas Sweed. Very possible the Titans could take him. But you write 'He was Vince Young's go to guy in college and also fills a need. I almost gave him to the Cowboys.'

Well, he did go to Texas. But he was Vince Young's goto guy? Why? He caught 59 passes and 5 TDs in TWO seasons with Vince Young. Young had 38 TD passes in that span.

After I saw that I didnt feel like nitpicking the rest of your cookie cutter mock. Shows you didnt put much effort into it. You also make a pick but say you think they will take someone else?
4: RAIDERS: Darren McFadden: I think they end up with Chris Long because my gut says the Phins dont take Jake Long and end up with Gholston which would push Chirs Long down here. And D-Mac goes to the Jets. But he is the best player available and Al Davis loves kids like him.
Why not make your mock fit what you actually think will happen?Chargers wont take a MLB, esp with more pressing needs at OT, CB, DT, S and RB.

This draft seems pretty deep at the cb position and the defense the Packers play, man press coverage, isn't really played as much by most other teams in the league. Alot of the cb's at the top of the draft (except Jenkins) aren't physical enough or versed enough to play that style. I think the Packers can get a guy in the second or third that can help them just as much. I do like Cason and he fits the Packers "draft football players, not combine numbers" philosophy, but Thompson almost prides himself on being unorthodox. It would be great if they could trade down, but I don't know what they can get, unless someone really wants to move up for a qb. It will be interesting. It wouldn't surpise if he took Desean Jackon if he slips.

I do think there will be someone who slips who is a better player and better value at 30 than the 5th or 6th CB.

I bookmarked this page to see if they end up taking any of these guys who they're allegedly looking at: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=741529

That Cary Williams guy stands out to me. A good kick returner is something they need. Not sure what round he's supposed to go in.
