A Quitter wants back in the league. (1 Viewer)

How would you guys handle this?We have a pretty strong group of owners in our league entering our 3rd season. One owner informed us earlier in the year that we needed to replace him, so we did. Now it is time for the draft stuff to get rolling and he is whining that he wants back in.What should we do?

Depends on the reasons. Was he writing a thesis or just had a baby (or other valid excuses)? If so, and you have an opening, I'd consider letting him back in.If he just got bored, he's gone for good.

At least the guy let you know early on that he needed to be replaced and didn't go Ricky Williams, or quit during the season. Maybe something fell through that he had anticipated would preclude him from being a reliable member. If it was because they weren't too interested in football I'd say no.But he should be able to have a meaningful dialogue without 'whining' about it.Have they been a good league member in the past?

He had a legitimate health related reason for wanting out, and his notice was very much appreciated. We don't really have an open spot, but a couple of new owners have said they would let the original owner either share or in one case have their team.I just don't want to have to deal with an owner that is wishy-washy and may quit on us again.

let him partner up...maybe his old team owner will 'share' until an available slot opens, then one can move over,,,

If the reason was legit and the other owners don't mind, I see no harm in letting him at least share a team.

So which is it? Is he wishy washy or sick?

Lots of drama in here as well as riddles with no answers.I don't know if Shuke is just bored and making something up as he goes along or is someone actually saying more than they should.......not that I understand really what's been said.

Don't worry about it. It doesn't concern you.

I think the good Commander can tell us if he is in Shuke's league or not. That should settle it.

This thread seems to need one of these: :useless:

Oh yes, I'm sure we'll be able to get to the bottom of it that way.

Sharing a team sounds like a lot of problems for the owners. Is this a high stakes league like WCOFF? You'd have to be crazy to share a team in any of those type of leagues.

(haven't read responses)If he's got a good reason, let him in and search for another owner - add two teams to the league (assuming it doesn't push you over 16).EDIT: Dammit, I got hooked.

Once a quitter, always a quitter... I've found. It all depends on the person and situation and the terms by which they departed, but if you have faith in the newbie make the former owner wait for the next available owner slot. Maybe it will help them appreciate his place in the league if/when you let him/her back in.

Then keep this crap out of the PUBLIC's eyes - especially in the Shark Pool. That's what PMs are for.

I have to agree with this. No league needs this kind of headache.

I thought they already let Ricky Williams back in at the Dolphin camp.:confused:edit: damn you Fred

Doesn't this drama belong in the FFA.

Quit polluting the pool.
Why would this go in the FFA?It's a discussion about league management as a commissioner and whether you should let someone back into the league. Nobody talks about that in the FFA.

Do you actually go to the FFA?

I didn't know drama within a league that has owners complaining and arguing in this thread with each other was part of the subject matter of the "Shark Pool".I would say arguments about personal matters don't belong anywhere, but if you had to choose, it would be the "Free for All".
