Aaron Brooks Bandwagon (1 Viewer)

Seriously.

* New OC (ok, not a huge upgrade but stilll).

* Decent his first 2 games back

* Historically a very solid fantasy QB

* Great, GREAT remaining schedule

* Virtually no running game

Anyone ready to ride shotgun?

[Edit: Starting him over Penny & Rivers this week.]

I currently have him as my starting QB this week in place of Kitna. I am also starting R. Moss as my 3rd WR so I am taking a double dip of the Oakland passing game vs the Texans. I'm hoping with a little more time to throw vs the Texans weak pass rush, Brooks will be a top 10 QB this week. If you have better alternatives I might take a wait and see approach.

And this one to me is more a negative than a positive. If a defense is not threatened by a team running the ball, they will come after Aaron Brooks with their ears pinned back without having to worry about a draw or anything like that. Aaron Brooks will not respond well to that kind of pressure and will make mistakes under it. The only way he'd do well is if the defense he was playing against was as bad as his offense.

I mentioned this earlier, but I picked him up this morning and am strongly considering playing him over Hasselbeck. I think this is the week to use the guy, put it that way.

Sadly, I may have to start Fargas to boot (with Ronnie Brown going down).

So maybe AB can carry me this week? Not, sure but I will probably be along for the ride this week.

I am rolling the dice with Brooks as well. My other choices of Kitna and Delohmme just have not bee getting it done. Hopefully the match-up and a couple of games under the belt for Brooks will help him have a big game.

With McNabb out and Eli Manning struggling, I am reluctantly leaning toward starting newly-acquired Aaron Brooks. I think he could produce decent, albeit not spectacular, numbers this week. For many of us McNabb owners, we are left to choose between the likes of Brooks and Garcia. Ugghh.

I love the schedule for the next two weeks but not sure I'm brave enough to start Brooks. Maybe if the weather is looking bad enough tonight, I'll bench McNair for him.

Brooks to Moss... over and over and over again!

I also have Delhomme and Brooks, and I am riding Brooks this week. I expect their #s to be fairly similiar, however Brooks gets the edge due to his opponent (HOU), new OC gameplan, and his rushing yards.

Brooks should be fairly consistent in these last few games.

aaron brooks has a bandwagon? i think you're riding solo on a band-bicycle.

you're better off going with one of the rooks or jason campbell, in my opinion. the only raider i can even dream of doing anything worthwhile this weekend is fargas.

Count me in, I'm starting him over Kitna in 2 leagues this week...also dusting Randy off the bench for the first time in 3 weeks...when you don't have the Studs then you gotta lean heavily on the matchups.....

I'm on board, only because McNabb threw me on. But seriously, love the next two weeks against Houston and Cincy. :banned:

Looks like I may be hopping on also. McNabb going down left me with Harrington & Gerrard. So I picked up Brooks this week. As a Dolphins fan, I tend to think Harrington may have a decent game, but as a fantasy coach, I think Im gonna pull out a lst minute swap to Brooks.

After trading Chad Johnson the week before he started lighting it up and sitting Addai (In 3 leagues) last week, I am hesitant aboout any move I make :(

Count me out. I've had this guy on my team in the past and he is unpredictable as you can imagine. I said after the last time I had him that he would never play for me again, and I will be true to my word.

As of right now I am starting him in 1 league over Harrington, Eli, and Brad Johnson, who all have terrible matchups. This is the 1st week of our playoffs, a wild card matchup, so I am rolling the dice with AB. If he does let me down, I think I have enough studs elsewhere to pick up the slack. :boxing:

CAREFUL!

Rumor has it, the bandwagon is about to be sacked...again...and again...and again.

It's okay though...an INT will make it stop.

Good luck and remember to hold on to something...preferably another QB.

You guys enjoy the ride though :hey:

I'll sit this one out though.

I'd rather hammer a nail through my left testicle than to start Brooks for my fantasy team.

Never, NEVER again will I be fooled by this no heart having, smiling after an interception, &$*@# of a QB.

You must be fortunate not to have to start this fool. I on the other hand, have to. But I'm tempering expectations even if it's against Houston.

Former McNabb owner here...dropped after his injury.

I have Alex Smith as my backup to McNabb, and picked up T. Green, Carr, Garcia and Brooks off the wire when McNabb went hurt.

I am starting Brooks this weekend. I like the matchup and have already clinched a playoff berth, so have the luxury of taking a flyer on Brooks to build some confidence in him. His schedule down the road looks ok.

What I like the most are the reports that the players seem excited to have an new OC. That extra shot of energy might just be enough in itself to get Moss interested and the offence scoring a couple of TD's per game throught the air.

And, the only year I won my main league (about 5 years ago), Brooks was my #1 QB. Since then I have had Manning, CPepp and McNabb and have made it to the superbowl a bunch of times but have lost the final for various reasons.

Maybe Brooks is the Bizarro world karma my team needs to stop imitating the Buffalo Bills....LOL

i am starting him. i picked him up last week just for the next 2 weeks. my qb situation has sucked all year, big time.

disclaimer: i have had the WORST luck with qb's all year.

I think Brooks could be decent down the stretch. I'm not expecting much, but I like his odds of being in that 10-15 QB range from here on out. In one league I'm in, I have Brooks, Delhomme and Kitna. I think based on match ups that I may go with Brooks this week vs. Houston. I don't like Kitna at NE or Delhomme at PHI. Could be a rough QB week for me (as most of the season has been).

Well guys, I just cannot get myself to do it. I thought I was jumping on the other day and I even paid $10 to pick him up. I had every intention to start him over Harrington & Gerrard. Even had my lineup set for the swap several times this week (just like I did with Addai last week)... but he I go, I am jumping off the bandwagon now....

:X :X

and hopefully, I'll be alive next week (since my season is on the line this week) to laugh about it.

Wish me luck....

Not too excited about it either, but I went with Brooks this week.

On the local radio here in Sacramento, I heard that the Raiders offense was practicing this past week with renewed vigor. I don't know if that translates to onfield success, but it can't be a bad thing.

In ... McScrubb owner starting Brooks over Favre and Alex Smith with Harrington and Garcia my only other options.

Is it possible that the Raiders O could go from bad to worse with Shoop at the helm?
25 completions and only 8 of them went to the WRs...I don't think they ever threw the ball downfield; Shoop coaches like he is afraid he might lose his job...doesn't he realize his boss is "Vertical Offense Al Davis", who will probably fire him for only throwing those 5 yarders to TEs and RBs...that was hard to watch.....

Well....238 and 2 picks.

Probably what we can expect from him the rest of the year. Its actually a decent game for a QB if you are in a pinch.
