Aaron Hernandez RUSHING yardage (1 Viewer)

I don't see rushing yardarge allocated to A. Hernandez anywhere in the projections. Assuming this is because it's not normal and nominal if anything for a TE. However, he did have 45 yds last season and lots of talk (blurbs below) of that potentially increasing this season.

my scoring gives extra points to this type of yardage so it's of interest to me. Is 100 yds rushing unreasonable? What are forum users projecting? Thanks.

"Heath Cummings - It wasn't too long ago that we all thought Hernandez was going to be the best tight end in New England. I don't think he surpasses Gronkowski this season, but I do think the extra attention given to Gronkowski will mean a lot more targets for Hernandez. Don't discount what that Patriots showed late last year with Hernandez in the backfield; he could become the Percy Harvin of tight ends."

"Patriots | Aaron Hernandez working at RB (Thu Aug 9, 01:12 PM) - New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez has seen some time at running back in training camp. Hernandez has also been used as a punt returner.

Our View: Hernandez can play out of a three point stance from the backfield. He also can line up as a Tight End or Wide Receiver. Bill Belichick loves his versatility and will use Hernandez in a number of different ways. "

your best bet is to ignore his rushing potential.

He may get some, he may get none. He's a TE by trade and should be viewed as such.

That's my opinion anyways. Sometimes when you try and get cute, you get burned.

thx for Dodds projection. I was not finding that for some reason.

While I wouldn't base a decision much on this yardage, I think we have to accept that some of these guys are not traditional TE's anymore. In my league we receive extra points for this type of yardage so it can be a factor to at least break ties in a like group of players.

I think Hernandez is good value in the late 4th early 5th. I think if I don't draft him, I may just wait for Fred Davis or even later and grab a Celek TEBC. Quick shot: If Jimmy Graham falls to you at 16 or later, are you taking him no matter what?

I expect his number of attempts to go up a bit this year.

Hes worked with Brady a lot during camp out of the backfield on their own.

Expecting them to implement it into their offense, line Hernandez in the split, or behind Gronk as they have in the past (although it was either Welker or Woodhead in the past). Keep all your playmakers on the field, further add to the confusion of the no huddle. Only have to keep one back on the field, a lot more options.

I will be, and I pick at 16 in the 2nd.

I doubt Hernandez makes it to the end of the 4th round (much less the 5th) in very many leagues - if it happens say THANK YOU and enjoy the rest of your draft
