Agreed, but my thinking was he would get a long one as the Patriots would attack the middle of the field. I'm re-watching it right now as I watch the Minnesota-Green Bay game out of the other eye. Hernandez was actually in on a lot of goal line packages, but they often had him split wide at times. Between the 20's Hernandez faired much better when going over the middle. This game was very strange from a play call perspective. Still have no idea why Belichick goes for it on 4th at the end (though I think Welker might have reached the marker after watching it again).
