Remind me of the name of the award again? Brees was clearly more valuable to the Saints than Rodgers was to the Packers IMO

The name of the award is NFL MVP...not team MVP or Saints MVP.But LEAGUE MVP.

Pretty clear the voters were looking to spread the wealth and give an award to both deserving guys. These things just become paperweights or get sold on ebay in 20 years anyway, and players know what they did with or without the hardware. Little reason for a lot of angst and debate over it.

Disagree a bit there...granted, both are on clear paths to the HOF...but if something happens and they end up borderline...League MVP will make the case for a player before Offensive POY will.

Tim Tebow should have won, took his team just as far in the playoffs too. Flynn shows it's the system.
