Addai Dropped in 20% of ESPN leagues (1 Viewer)

So, I noticed that Addai was dropped in my league and was surprised to find him available in about 20% of ESPN leagues...what gives? He maybe back 100% in 2 games and possibly start this week. Why are many giving up on him?

Hes gotten me 7, 12, 15, 5 and 3(got hurt) so far this year on my bench in 0.5 ppr, i think with Painter getting the offense moving better than collins, Addai might be good for 10 to 12 if he gets healthy

I haven't dropped him yet, but I will be at the end of the season in my dynasty after having him for a few years. He's not an every week starter and when I need a bye week filler he's usually hurt. Just taking up space at this point.

Joseph Addai - RB - ColtsThe Indianapolis Star considers Joseph Addai (questionable, hamstring) likely to play on Sunday Night Football against the Saints.

Every week, Indy Star beat reporter Phil B. Wilson provides a rundown of the Colts' numerous players listed on the injury report, and gives his take on whether each will play in the game. Here's what Wilson wrote about Addai: "That Joe was able to (practice) full Friday suggests he will give it a go Sunday night. Expected to play." Donald Brown and Delone Carter now need to be removed from all fantasy lineups. Addai would be an incredibly risky option as well, and ultimately a thoroughly unadvised one.Source: Indianapolis StarOct 21 - 8:18 PM

He really shouldn't be out there, unless it's a very shallow league. People maybe just panicked or needed a bye-week fill in.

I just noticed that he was dropped in my league Fri afternoon. I scooped him up and dropped Bernard Scott.

I'm more interested in his value going forward. Any thoughts?
FLEX/RB4 at best, IMO. Indy coaching staff is a bunch of dolts; o-line sucks; not enough volume. Guess the players on the field weren't the only ones Peyton made look better than they actually were

Looks like a good chance he'll play Sunday too.
How productive do you think he can be this week? He was dropped in my 14 team league for bye reasons, I would imagine, and I had to pounce given the traditional lack of viable RBs in this league down the stretch. I think Addai could contribute as a flex/RB3, but wondering about this week.Addai may not get a lot of carries as he's eased back in. Wondering if a guy like Choice or even Reggie Bush or Aurelious Benn may have more upside than a potential 5 carry day given Addai's in the late game. For me, it's a risk management choice in the short term versus depth for the long term

0-7 and his hammy is acting up again, think it's getting closer to shutting Addai down this year. Might be time to join the 20% for me.

Plus with Carter and Brown looking decent the other night (albeit in a blowout), team brass may want to see what those guys can do - Carter on most running plays (including short yardage) and Brown in the passing game.

The only reason they would need Addai is his pass protection and blitz pickup which means you can drop him. Carter is the Indy RB to keep as he gets early down work plus goaline opportunities.

It was already embarrassing enough that they activated and started Addai in week 7 only to see him limp off. Maybe that's why they are 0-7.
