Addai vs. White (1 Viewer)

My feeling is that Addai is in the much better situation but White has the better skill set to succede in the NFL as a feature back.
I've never been a fan of Addai's during his LSU days. Sure he's fast enough and understands pass pro but I don't believe he has the vision or the ability to get past the first defender with either a move or power.
White walks into a struggling TEN team that already has a crowded backfield. Not the best of situations. However he has the ability to unseat Brown and take over games with his power and vision.
I voted White and would draft him in a dynasty over Addai.

Bit of an odd start to this poll. 90% of rookie drafts gong on right now have Addai over White (and many with Addai over Williams or Maroney) yet this poll starts 5 to 1 in favor of White.
Is this just a case of people that aren't playing in dynasties voting in this poll? Because it seems most dynasty leaguers prefer Addai by a pretty wide margin.

I am assuming that even though White seems to have the most long term potential, people are thinking Addai has the best chance to make an earlier impact.Alot of people have also prematurely given Addai the starting job in Indy, IMO. I would love to be sitting later in the draft and pick up White because he seems to be falling into the late first round.

I recently drafted White over Addai at 1.05 in my dynasty league's rookie draft.
Based mostly on Fisher's recent comments about White's role for the Titans, and my feeling that Addai runs high, gets hit a lot and lacks the required power to be an inside runner, I see him as a more situational/complementary player.
I think White has more potential to be an featured back in the NFL.

If we were talking about White getting passed over for Addai a few months ago, folks would have laughed us off the message board. I like White as a talent, but not as an NFL-level of committment to improving. He's not demonstrated that yet.
I would also say that Addai actually has impressed me as a runner. I'm not worried about his straight up style. He can break tackles well and run inside and outside. What concerns me is that he's never handled a load before.

I did take White and had him rated much higher than Addai on my cheatsheet. White is a can't miss prospect in Tennessee, sooner than later he will be the feature back and has a low injury risk. Addai, I see him struggling to start in 2006 and I don't see him assuming an everydown role.

I voted White...if Addai cant play every down at LSU how can he in Indi??? That being said I traded 1.12 rookie pick for Rhodes because I don't think Addai will be a big factor.

Well, considering that because of Henry's td total for this year he triggered an $8M contract clause, he will either have to renegotiate for next year or be cut, so White's situation doesn't look all that bad. Stay tuned....

Travis Henry will have to re-negotiate his contract with Tennessee after this season or become a free agent. When Henry scored a touchdown this season, he triggered a ridiculous $8 million option in his contract that the Titans have no intention of paying. They will have to renegotiate with him or let Henry test the free agent market. With LenDale White around, Henry could get a decent payday elsewhere if he keeps playing well.

Addai. He's on a better team and he's poised to be Edge Lite for the next 5 years.
