Here's what the 2016 standings would have looked like based on expected records adjusted for scoring differential from Pro Football Reference . . .

1 - NEP 12.7 - 3.3
BUF 8.5 - 7.5
MIA 7.6 - 8.4
NYJ 4.5 - 11.5

3 - PIT 9.9 - 6.1
BAL 8.6 - 7.4
CIN 8.3 - 7.7
CLE 3.5 - 12.5

4 - IND 8.4 - 7.6
TEN 8.1 - 7.9
HOU 6.5 - 9.5
JAX 5.9 - 10.1

2 - KCC 10.1 - 5.9
5 - DEN 9.1 - 6.9
6 - OAK 8.7 - 7.3
SDC 7.7 - 8.3

1 - DAL 10.9 - 5.1
6 - PHI 9.0 - 7.0
NYG 8.8 - 7.2
WAS 8.3 - 7.7

4 - GBP 9.0 - 7.0
MIN 8.6 - 7.4
DET 7.7 - 8.3
CHI 4.8 - 11.2

2 - ATL 10.6 - 5.4
NOS 8.3 - 7.7
TBB 7.6 - 8.4
CAR 7.2 - 8.8

3 - SEA 9.8 - 6.2
5 - ARI 9.4 - 6.6
SFO 4.2-11.8
LAR 3.3 - 12.7

Admittedly, none of that makes much difference heading into 2017, but seems teams with good records may not have been so strong and some teams with mediocre records probably were a bit better than their records would indicate.
