Adrian Peterson week 16 (1 Viewer)

Why is it nuts? Look, if you were the coach of a real team, you'd start all your players together at once, so this allows you to do this rather than falling victim to randomly staggered gametimes.

Impressed by the posters who sat him last week and are still alive. kudos. Definitely following your posts in the future. It's for third place, but I am sitting AP for Torain or a WR.
I was one of those.Michael Vick saved me.

AP sits again for me, this weekend... going with LaGarette again. Adrian is still hurting from his run-in with Tarvaris (as someone on the local radio station said, opposing defenses couldn't stop AP, but his own teammate puts him down)... he may practice today, but I'm still wouldn't be expecting much from him against Philly. Sucks not to have AP at full-steam for the playoffs, but that's life (or fantasy football...whatever).

Our league's final was last week and I lost due to him not playing. I wasn't home to switch him out, but I wouldn't touch him this week. Not 100%, out in the cold, on the road, against a good team, rookie QB. I remember a few years ago, Philly held tomlinson to like 10 yards on 20 carries.

Sucks being an owner of AP and Hillis this week. starting Blount for AP again this week. Was thinking about starting Choice for Hillis but now I'm not sure anymore.

Rotoworld:

"After returning to a limited practice Thursday, Adrian Peterson (thigh, knee) says he's "pretty confident" he'll be able to start against the Eagles Sunday.

Peterson and interim coach Leslie Frazier both suggested he's made "dramatic improvement" from Monday night. Frazier is still noncommittal, however: "Is it enough to get us to game day? We'll see. We have another day, so we'll see how he does [Friday].""

Played Hightower instead (4 points)...

...Vick, VJax, Blount & Patriots DST saved me. :lmao:

Not this week...ADP will have splinters in his aas.

I have Peterson, Hillis, Choice, and Donald Brown...I don't see much of a choice but to take my chances with Peterson and Hillis. Normally, that would be something to be stoked about, but not this week. We've got the Vikes with a mess on their hands at QB so even if ADP does play the Eagles are just going to stack the line and dare Webb to throw like the Bears did last week. Sad face!

Luckily, we have a couple more days to decide but if you don't start Peterson than you are most likely just taking another kind of risk...the risk of the RBBC biting your head off!! Choice and Brown are both intriguing because of what they did last week, but they have too many if's to make me tip the scales in their favor and start them right now.

However, for me Hillis and Peterson garnered me squat. It was a good thing I earned a first round BYE or I would have been toast.

:lmao: :excited:

I'm having a difficult time starting him this week but we start 3 RB's every week. So I am currently starting AP, Jamaal Charles and Choice. I have Gebhart and am wondering if he is the better play. Other then that I would have to start either Ricky Williams or Darren Sproles. It's a PPR league too and Sproles looks like a sneaky play. I just don't think I could forgive myself for benching him and losing if he goes off this week. Decisions Decisions

Well my other choices are... Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, Maurice Morris or Danny Woodhead... who knows right now.

fwiw, i had to declare my lineup last night prior to kickoff (i know, silly rule but it's an old league) and I went with Gerhart. It's cold, against PHI, nothing to play for, so I doubt ADP does much anyway. And this is exactly why he's going to go off for 120/2TDs.

Playing for the FFPC Overall Championship and I'm thinking that Peterson is going to be in my lineup as long as he's active. No other team around me has him and he's gotten me this far. Only other options are Hightower tomorrow and A. Benn. I obviously sat him last week but I'm just feeling it for some reason. Call it fate....

Starting Jennings over him.

1) He's nicked.

2) Webb is starting again. 8 in the box all night.

3) Line is ailing.

4) Minny looks to be mailing it in.

5) Philly still has a decent Run D.

6) If I wait to Sunday night and he doesn't play all my best options have already played.

Rotoworld:

"Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier expressed confidence Friday that Adrian Peterson (questionable, knee/thigh) will be able to play against the Eagles on Sunday Night Football.

Peterson practiced for a second straight day Friday. "I think he’ll probably make it," said Frazier. "It seems like we’re headed in the right direction." The Eagles will obviously be keyed up to stop Peterson, but he's the No. 3 overall player in fantasy football and a top-ten option if he's active."

7) Philly has a lot to play for. A win locks up the division IIRC. An inspired effort (even if they only have a "decent" run D) is very possible in this home game after a dramatic victory last week. I'm sure they were schooled on not having a letdown after that kind of win, so we'll likely see a lot of enthusiasm. I'm going Jacobs. I think he'll bounce back from last week and has a higher floor than Peterson.

Jennings and Bradshaw over ADP right now. Bradshaw might head to the bench though if things sound promising for Peterson playing.

This is my lineup, plus I have Moreno, Gerhart and Choice.Right now even if ADPis starting I'm benching him and the rest for Bradshaw and Jennings.Philly defense: they have been putting down some pretty decent running games of late; add cold weather and a Webb start, a banged up ADP who could split or get pulled even if he does start, and I don't like this matchup at all.

Does the weather frighten any one else? Sorta scares me. If I don't go with AP, looking at Choice, Gerhart or Morris. ACK.

Morris isn't a bad play. Philadelphia is 100% chance of snow, 31 degrees, with a 21 mph north wind. I have to choose btw ADP and Gerhart on Thursday due to lineup requirements and opted to Gerhart. I hope I'm right. I think MIN, with Webb at QB, are going to fall behind and rely on the passing game. Once there's no reason to have ADP in there, due to his current injury status, the cold, and not playing for anything, I'm hoping they'll plug in Gerhart and have him do mop up duties. I could be totally wrong and ADP goes bonkers.

Still feel that way with the extra couple days?

No.Now I have until 2:45 CST to think about this and I have no idea.Favre might play too.Sticking with jennings, the choice is ADP vs Bradshaw.Thoughts?

I'm really struggling with this decision. Two days of rest can be very helpful for AP. At this point in the season it's tough to sit one of the top 5 players in the league, especially when he's got you this far to begin with. That said, the injury could just as easily tighten up on him and get worse. I'm leaning towards playing him though.

Same choice between ADP and Bradshaw. I wish my opponent had more 1pm players to help out the decision making though. I think I am going to change my mind and gamble on Peterson. That will give me 3 players with last chance points (Vick, PHI DST and Peterson). Though I am sure I will change my mind about 20 times before the Giants play. This sucks.

Same here blast it. Why oh why did I play Hillis instead of Bradshaw? Now I have to decide bwtween Bradshaw and AP sigh.

Guys with Peterson in your lineup tonight - what do you expect out of him? I imagine the couple extra days helped his injury, but the other factors (Webb, Philly D, etc) should still apply.

Unfortunately my needs and my expectations are at odds in tonights game...need a great game from ADP but am expecting to be disappointed.

I am expecting...a lot.

Basis for my expectations? A combination of (a) great players come up big often when you least expect it, and (b) I could really use a great game out of ADP.

I went with ADP as the starter (over Bradshaw and Moreno and a host of free agents), and have Gerhart ready on the bench. Problem is I just hope ADP goes the whole way.I have Vick and ADP and am down about 27 in a 0.5 PPR league (for the Championship Win). If ADP gets the 10 that Gerhart has gotten and which has been pretty much Peterson's floor during the year I will be very happy.

I'm expecting something like 70 yards and 1 TD on 15-20 carries. Decent numbers but not a multiple TD 120+ yard monster effort.

My biggest question right now is whether AP plays Week 17 or not. 4 days rest going into next Sunday is definitely not an ideal scenario.

Waited literally 10 seconds too long to make the move. I am Jack's regret.
