Advice on Pence please (1 Viewer)

Pence's owner dropped him awhile ago. Second time this season he's been dropped.

I could use a little extra pop in the bats with some average, please. (12 team H2H league.)

Been holding Longoria on my bench but so far he looks like just a decent player.

I didn't play last season so I know nothing about Pence. But I know he was highly rated coming in. Drop Longoria for him, or hold?

if it's not a keeper league (i'm assuming it's not, since pence was dropped), i'd drop longoria for pence. for this year, i assume they'll hit for similar power numbers, but pence will hit for a better average and steal a few bases.

Pence seems to just be coming around and has a lot of upside. I'd definately grab him asap.

Already have Capps and Wood, and Qualls for holds. I didn't consider Fuentes dead weight, but it was either him or Longoria. Actually I had picked up Fuentes for the holds anyway, before Corpas blew up. I didn't end up with any of the premier closers in the draft, so I figured I'd be chasing saves all season anyway. AND YES, I'm a noob, why do ya think I'm asking dumb questions?

I still would have dropped Longoria. There are probably alot of similar hitters to Longoria on your wire. If you think having 3 closers is too much, then try to package one in a deal to improve your team elsewhere. Fuentes is gonna get picked up quick, somebody might even use waivers on him if your league uses a waiver system.

If your team is that stacked you probably could have pursued a 2-for-1 deal to open up a roster spot for Pence.

Not that my team is that stacked... a few of my batters are absolutely lighting it up right now... but we've only got 5 bench spots, so there's always lots on the WW, so very little trading.
